This is one of the coolest and smartest cameras on the market. The surveillance camera is from the AcuSense family from Hikvision, which means that it is particularly suitable for giving you messages on the phone of people and vehicles. As you can see in the video below, the camera's specialty is to distinguish between people, vehicles and uninteresting things. (continued during the video ...)

About the camera
The camera can withstand sitting both inside and out, as it is IP67 approved, as long as you also mount the included membrane. An SD card can be mounted in the camera, which is opened with the included tool ( SD card (memory card not included, but can be purchased here) . There are also screws, raw plugs and a drilling template, which is easily glued to the concrete or bricks so you know exactly where you need to drill. The camera can be mounted in all directions, just like a 3-axis camera. The camera can be connected directly to your Hikvision recorder or NAS, but can also be used all alone with an SD card (memory card) .When the SD card is inserted, the camera records the video directly to the card and it can be played directly from the APP so you do not have to take it out.The camera can monitor the health of the SD card.

There are different types of AcuSense cameras, but common to them all is the designation at the end of the model number.

The model name tells what features the camera has if it ends up:

  • DS-2CDXXX6G2- I = Standard with infrared night vision
  • DS-2CDXXX6G2- IU = With infrared night vision and microphone
  • DS-2CDXXX6G2- ISU = With infrared night vision, microphone, alarm input and output
  • DS-2CDXXX6G2- ISU / SL = With infrared night vision, microphone, alarm input and output, as well as white strobe light and speaker

About the lens
The camera is available with several lenses and the lens is important for "FOV" (Field Of View) or in Danish: Viewing angle.
2.8 mm lens gives a horizontal (horizontal) FOV of 103 °, vertical (vertical) FOV 55 ° and diagonal (from corner to corner) FOV 123 °
4 mm lens provides a horizontal (horizontal) FOV of 83 °, vertical (vertical) FOV 45 ° and diagonal (from corner to corner) FOV 98 °

About AcuSense
Even though the camera is intelligent, it still needs some input from you. When the camera is mounted, you can choose between several types of "smart events" including "Detection of intrusion" where a square is drawn in the image and when a target moves into the square and stays longer than you have allowed (1 -10 seconds) your "reaction" is triggered. There are also line intersections where detectors about a "target" move across the line you have drawn. It can be both ways or just one way. It can e.g. is used for one-way roads, so that an alarm is given when driving in the opposite direction or in a driveway so that you are only notified when people arrive, but not when they leave.

See a guide in English from Hikvision here

What is a reaction? The event that is triggered when a rule is violated is called a "reaction". Depending on which model is chosen, you have different options.
Most used "reactions":

  • Push message on mobile (get a picture sent directly to your phone, of the target that has broken the rule, with a link to direct play in APP)
  • Send email (this feature should be used with caution as the mail provider may close your account for suspected spamming if too many photos are sent)
  • Flashing white light
  • Warning sound (siren or voice warning - it is also possible to record your own messages) *
  • Alarm output (open a garage door, turn on lights, send signal to your alarm system, interact with IHC, etc.

To have all functions, you must select the models where model no. Ends at ISU / SL

Most cameras in the AcuSense series are available in 4 and 8 Megapixels (2K and 4K)

If the camera is connected to a newer recorder, you can also make "combined" reactions. This means that another given rule must be broken before the "reaction" is triggered. (AND logic). In practical terms, this means that one e.g. can "combine" with an "alarm input" so that the camera only sends messages if the alarm is turned on or a motion sensor is triggered. In this way, the system can be integrated into the building's systems.

You can, among other things, use this NVR: https://ipcam-shop.dk/acusense-277/hikvision-ds-7608nxi-i2-s-8-channel-ip-acusense-nvr-p3055

The power supply for the camera is not included, as most users just use a PoE switch, but if you do not have a power supply for the camera in advance, you can choose one of the following options:

PoE Switch (recommended): https://ipcam-shop.dk/switch-52/
PoE Injector: https://ipcam-shop.dk/injector-364/
12 Volt power supply: https://ipcam-shop.dk/stroem-tilbehoer-216/stroemforsygning12v1a-p733

Fittings
The camera can be mounted directly on the wall or in the ceiling / overhang. A back box / bracket may be required if the joint cannot be behind the wall, ceiling or eaves.
If your AcuSense camera is to be mounted on a mast, you must also use a mast bracket. Model no. Of fittings and mast fittings can be seen in the data sheet.

NB: REMEMBER TO CHOOSE NETWORK CABLES IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY BEFORE YOU HAVE TO USE TWO, ONE FAR FROM THE CAMERA AND INTO THE POE INJECTOR WHICH IS TYPICALLY INSERTED BY THE ROUTER AND ROUTER IN A ROUTER. CHOOSE CABLE!
