About the windshield camera (4K)
BlackVue's windshield camera is definitely one of the best cameras for the car or truck we have tested. It is packed with cool features, such as GPS, WiFi hotspot, microphone, 3-axis accelerometer that can detect accidents and G-forces, rearview camera and much more, as you can see in the specifications on this page. The recordings can either be played directly on the mobile phone over WiFi or by moving the SD card to your computer and using the program that comes with it. In the program you have the full overview, as you then see both windshield camera + rearview camera + location on google maps / road map while you can also see the results on the different meters, so you can see how hard you are braking, accelerating or turning in the vehicle. The recordings are in 4K (8MP) and can be played directly from mobile/tablet/pc or automatically uploaded to a cloud. The cloud storage is owned by BlackVu and there may be a fee associated with using it, but it is only necessary if you want automatic backup. The cloud is free for a single cam per user - read more about the cloud here
