BlackVue automatically switches to parking mode to monitor your parked vehicle. Thanks to the video buffer, the few seconds leading up to triggering events are also recorded. DR970X Box Plus supports two parking modes: Motion and Impact Detection Mode and Time Lapse Mode.

Professional dashcam with 4K recording and hidden “Box” unit
BlackVue DR970X Box-2CH Plus is one of BlackVue’s most advanced dashcams. The system consists of a front camera, a rear camera and a separate “Box” unit where recordings are stored. This lets the recordings be better protected since the memory card is tucked away. The camera records in 4K Ultra HD up front and Full HD at the rear – both with Sony STARVIS sensors, developed to deliver high image quality even in low light.
Records in high quality
The front camera records in 4K Ultra HD (8.3 MP) and is equipped with a Sony STARVIS 2 sensor that ensures sharp, detailed footage both day and night. The rear camera uses a Sony STARVIS Full HD sensor so license plates and surroundings behind the car are captured clearly.

Built-in GPS and Wi-Fi
The DR970X Box-2CH Plus has both built-in GPS and dual-band Wi‑Fi. GPS logs your route and speed so you can see exactly where an incident occurred. Wi‑Fi makes it easy to connect to the camera via the BlackVue app on your phone or computer. From there you can view live footage, download recordings or change settings — without removing the SD card.
Parking surveillance
With the included hardwire cable the camera can monitor the car while it’s parked. If motion or an impact is detected, recording starts automatically. When you start the car again, you’ll get a voice alert if there was activity around the vehicle while it was parked.
Hidden box to store recordings
Unlike classic dashcams, this model stores recordings in a separate “Box” unit that can be hidden in the car, e.g. in the glove compartment. That way the SD card and buttons are protected from tampering. This makes the model ideal for commercial fleets, taxis and other vehicles where security is a priority.
Easy operation
The camera comes with a wireless SOS button (EB-1) that can be mounted at the driver’s seat. With a single press you can manually start a recording and mark it as important so it won’t be overwritten. The camera also features automatic SD card monitoring that warns of errors, as well as auto-restart for maximum reliability.
Cloud connection
BlackVue Cloud lets you view live footage, receive alerts and download videos directly to your phone — no matter where you are. A separate LTE module is required for Cloud use, which connects via the Box unit.
App and software
The BlackVue app is available for both Android and iOS, and you can also use BlackVue Viewer for Windows and Mac. Both give access to live view, recordings and all settings. The software supports browsers like Chrome and Safari.
