High-resolution PTZ with low-light capabilities and analytics

Advanced person and vehicle detection

The camera has a smart technology called "IVA Pro", which uses AI to detect and follow people and vehicles.

  • Precise detection: The camera can recognize and track both people and vehicles. This means it can identify when someone enters an area or if a car drives past.
  • Fewer false alarms: The camera can use AI to recognize patterns and thus avoid false alarms from, for example, rain, moving trees and bushes, snow or shadows. Due to the AI analysis, it greatly reduces false alarms.
  • Effective surveillance: The camera can detect movement and automatically distinguish between different objects. This means it can keep track of where people and cars are moving and notify you.
  • Smart alarm system: The camera can be programmed to trigger alarms according to certain rules. For example, it can notify you if a person enters a restricted area or if a car parks in a place where it is not allowed. This makes it easier to keep an eye on important areas without having to constantly look at the screen.

Night vision with Starlight technology

The camera uses Starlight technology to capture clear, detailed images even in very dark conditions. Where a traditional camera would switch to infrared (IR) night vision, which typically produces black-and-white images in the dark, Starlight technology can deliver color images in low light conditions where a normal camera would switch to black-and-white. When it gets too dark, the camera switches to black-and-white.

Advantages of Starlight technology in the dark:

  • Color images in low light : Starlight technology requires very little light to create a color image. So where a traditional camera goes black and white, a camera with Starlight keeps the color image for much longer.
  • High sensitivity : The technology is sensitive to light, allowing it to see details that other cameras would lose in the dark.
  • Clear images without glare : Even in challenging lighting conditions, such as when there are bright lights and deep shadows in the same scene, Starlight technology ensures clear images without glare or distortion.

The difference between Starlight and Starlight X is the light sensitivity. Starlight technology can work in low light down to 0.0008 lux, where Starlight X can work all the way down to 0.0003 lux, meaning that even in almost complete darkness, it can still deliver a really good image.

Data protection and security

  • Multiple layers of security : The camera has multiple levels of protection that work together to ensure that data and the camera itself are safe from attack and unauthorized access.
  • Access Protection : There are three levels of access protection that ensure that only authorized people can change settings or view recordings. It's like having multiple locks on a door - only the right keys can open them.
  • Encrypted data transport : When data is sent from the camera to a computer or server, it is encrypted. This means that the information is converted into a secret code that can only be read by those who have the correct encryption key. This protects the data from being intercepted by hackers.
  • Advanced Certificate Management : The camera uses digital certificates to verify that it is secure to communicate with other devices. Think of certificates as digital ID cards that ensure the camera only talks to trusted devices and servers.
  • Protection against attacks : The camera has built-in measures to protect it from malicious attacks. This ensures that hackers cannot gain control of the camera or steal data.

Local storage

The camera supports one micro SD card for local storage.

  • MicroSDHC card: Supports up to 32 GB.
  • MicroSDXC card: Supports up to 2TB.

Rugged camera

The camera can withstand extreme weather conditions, dust and vibrations.

  • IP68 and IK10 certification: The camera is IP68 rated. This means it is completely dustproof and can withstand prolonged immersion in water. It is also IK10 rated, meaning it is resistant to hard knocks and impacts, making it suitable for harsh environments.
  • Can withstand large temperature fluctuations: The camera can operate in extreme temperature conditions from -40°C to +65°C and has a built-in defroster that automatically heats the lens to prevent ice and fogging.
  • Optical Image Stabilization: The camera has built-in optical image stabilization, which allows it to deliver stable and clear images even when exposed to vibrations or shakes. This is a huge advantage for outdoor installations in high-wind environments or near busy highways.

Motorized zoom and focus for setup

The camera has motorized zoom and focus, which makes it easy to adjust the viewing angle and sharpness during installation.

  • Remote adjustment : Once the camera is installed, you can adjust the zoom and focus from a computer, making it easier to find the perfect viewing angle without having to manually adjust the camera.
  • Precise adjustment : You can fine-tune the image to ensure it is sharp and covers the desired area.
  • One-time adjustment : After setup, there is no need to adjust the zoom and focus regularly. The camera remains in the set position and usually does not need further adjustments unless the surveillance needs change.

PTZ function can be controlled directly from your mobile phone or computer

The camera is an Autodome from Bosch, which means you can control the camera directly from your mobile or computer. With the PTZ functionality (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) you can control the camera up and down, zoom in and out, and move it from side to side.

  • Remote control via mobile and computer: You can control the camera directly from your mobile or computer, no matter where you are. This way you can keep an eye on and zoom in on specific areas or objects.
  • Detailed image: With the built-in 12x optical zoom that the camera comes with, you can zoom in on large distances and get detailed images of objects far away with good details.
  • Automatic movement patterns: In addition to manual control, you can program the camera to follow specific routes or monitor specific areas automatically. This is especially useful in larger surveillance areas where the camera can cover several important positions at once.

Supported licenses

The following licenses can be added to the camera and can generally be activated simultaneously.

  • IVA Pro Buildings License: Enables advanced video analytics features specifically designed for building surveillance. This includes features such as intrusion detection, people and vehicle tracking, and unauthorized access detection.
  • IVA Pro Perimeter License: Intended for perimeter surveillance and protecting boundaries by identifying and tracking people or vehicles crossing defined lines or entering recorded areas.
  • IVA Pro Traffic License: Extends the camera's video analytics to traffic monitoring. It can be used to monitor road traffic, detect incidents such as queues or accidents, and analyze traffic patterns.
  • IVA Pro Intelligent Tracking: Enables the camera to track moving objects automatically, even while the camera is moving.
  • Camera Trainer License : This feature allows you to teach the camera to recognize specific things or objects that you choose. This can be anything from cars and people to specific objects. The camera can then detect these things both when they are moving and when they are stationary. This means that the camera becomes more flexible and efficient because it can focus on the things that are most important to you.

Stand-alone, closed Bosch system or part of third-party systems, the camera can do it all.

Standalone device with SD card: With this solution, you can easily download your recordings directly via the Bosch Security app – completely free of charge and without having to remove the SD card from the camera. The camera also monitors the condition of the SD card and notifies you if it is getting worn out or broken. This solution is both practical and just as easy to use as a hard disk recorder.

Bosch NVR: If the camera is to be part of a larger overall solution, it can easily be connected to a Bosch hard disk recorder, such as DIVAR. Alternatively, it can be connected to third-party systems via ONVIF.

VMS Platforms: The camera can be integrated with leading VMS platforms such as Milestone, Genetec or other third-party systems. This can be done via either proprietary protocols or ONVIF. If you want to take full advantage of the camera metadata, you should check if your VMS platform supports the specific camera model.

Autotracking

PTZ cameras may have built-in intelligence and keep an eye for you. If something happens that the camera assesses is interesting, it will immediately zoom in and follow the object.
