RJ45 Cat5e modular plug for loose network cable
This RJ45 modular plug is used for Cat5e network cables and is ideal when the installation is done with loose cable from a roll. It’s often a gentler solution for the building since the cable can be discreetly pulled through walls, ceilings or conduits before the connector is fitted.
The connector is typically used for the cable run from a DVR, network switch or PoE injector all the way out to the surveillance camera.
Suitable for surveillance cameras
The RJ45 connector can be used for both indoor and outdoor surveillance when correctly fitted to Cat5e installation cable. Normally one connector is used at each end of the cable run.

Mounting with a crimping tool
The connector is fitted using a crimping tool. During installation only the outer jacket of the cable is stripped; the individual conductors should not be stripped. The conductors are inserted into the connector and pressed in with the tool.
This ensures a stable and durable connection when done correctly.
Finished cable with many uses
Once the connector is fitted, the cable functions like a standard Cat5e network cable. It can therefore be used for network, data, power and video.
