DS-2DE7A225IW-AEB(T5) is a professional 2 MP PTZ camera with 25× optical zoom, long-range IR illumination and advanced features for monitoring large areas. The camera is built on Hikvision’s DarkFighter technology, which delivers better color detail in low light. You also get AcuSense that focuses on people and vehicles, active deterrence with light and sound, and Face Capture for registering faces. The camera can pan 360° and tilt quickly so you can follow movement in real time.

DarkFighter – better images in low light

The camera uses DarkFighter technology to deliver clear, detailed images in low light. The sensor is more light-sensitive than ordinary PTZ cameras, giving improved color detail, sharpness and contrast in twilight or dark areas.

25× optical zoom and 16× digital zoom

With 25× optical zoom the camera can get very close without losing quality. This makes it suitable for monitoring large areas like squares, parking lots, driveways, industrial sites and ports. Digital zoom can be used as a supplement when you need to go even further.

Up to 200 meters IR illumination

The camera has built-in IR lights that reach up to 200 meters. This provides clear night images even at very long distances where ordinary cameras run out of light. Perfect for open areas and locations with no artificial lighting.

Fast and precise PTZ movement

The camera can:

• Pan 360°
• Tilt from −15° to 90°
• Move at up to 240°/s

That means it can quickly follow people or vehicles across large areas. With 300 presets, patrol routes and pattern scans, the camera can also run automated surveillance routines.

AcuSense – distinguishes people and vehicles

AcuSense uses deep learning to analyze motion and filter out irrelevant objects like rain, shadows, insects or branches. The camera only alerts you when it’s people or vehicles.

Face Capture – face registration

The camera can detect up to 5 faces at the same time, track them and pick the best image.

Does Face Capture require a special recorder?

The camera can register and select faces on its own, but if you want to store faces in a structured way, search them or use advanced face functionality, you’ll need a recorder that supports Face Capture.

The camera can on its own:

• Detect faces in the image
• Select the best "snapshot"
• Send it to an app, recorder or NAS
• Trigger events (alarm, strobe, notification, etc.)

A compatible recorder provides extra features:

Active deterrence – white light and audible alarm

The camera has a built-in white strobe light and speaker. Both can be triggered by motion or alarms and are used to scare off intruders.
This is effective in areas where you want a clear warning or a preventive effect.

Autotracking – automatic tracking

The camera can automatically follow people or vehicles as they move through the frame. Tracking can start automatically on detection or be started manually by the user.

Local recording on microSD
