8-channel hybrid recorder
iDS-7208HUHI-M1/X is an 8-channel hybrid recorder from Hikvision with built-in AcuSense technology that lets you distinguish between people and vehicles in motion. It supports both analog cameras and network (IP) cameras and is suitable for both new and existing installations.
AcuSense – intelligent motion detection
This recorder includes Hikvision's AcuSense features, which can tell apart people, vehicles and other motion. That means you avoid unnecessary alarms from, for example, animals, rain or moving trees. It supports:
- Supports up to 8 channels with perimeter protection, where you can set up virtual fences and get notified if someone crosses.
- Up to 4 channels with face recognition, which can compare people against images in a library.
- AcuSearch, which makes it easy to find relevant recordings by searching for events involving people or vehicles.
Camera compatibility and video formats
This recorder has 8 BNC inputs for analog cameras and supports all common signal types: HDTVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS. You can also add up to 16 IP cameras, each supporting resolutions up to 8 megapixels – ideal if you combine existing analog equipment with newer IP technology.
Recording and image quality
The recorder supports recording at up to 8 MP resolution and can encode video with H.265 Pro+, an efficient compression technology. That means less storage usage without compromising image quality. It can handle up to 24 channels at 1080p during playback.
Audio inputs and two-way communication
You get one traditional RCA audio input and output, and audio via coax (e.g. from HD cameras with built-in microphones) is supported on all 8 channels. You can also use two-way communication to talk and listen through the system via the app or PC.
Video output and display connections
The recorder has HDMI and VGA outputs that can be used simultaneously. HDMI supports up to 4K resolution (3840 × 2160), providing a sharp and detailed view. There is also a CVBS output if you use an older monitor with BNC.
Network features and remote access
You get a gigabit network port (10/100/1000 Mbps). The recorder can be accessed via the Hik-Connect app, a browser or PC software. It supports up to 64 simultaneous remote connections, making it suitable for larger systems or multi-user access.
Storage
There is room for one hard drive up to 12TB.
