4-channel Hybrid Recorder

The iDS-7204HUHI-M1/X is a 4-channel hybrid recorder from Hikvision with AcuSense technology. It supports both analog and IP cameras and offers advanced features like face recognition and intelligent motion detection.

AcuSense – intelligent motion detection

This recorder includes Hikvision's AcuSense features, which can distinguish between people, vehicles and other motion. That means you avoid unnecessary alerts from, for example, animals, rain or moving trees. It supports:

• 4 channels with perimeter protection, letting you set virtual fences and get notified when people or vehicles cross a boundary.
• 2 channels with face recognition, where images of people are compared against an internal image library.
• AcuSearch, which makes it easy to find relevant footage by searching for events involving people or vehicles.

Camera compatibility and video formats

You can connect 4 analog cameras via BNC connectors – and the recorder supports standards such as HDTVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS. That makes it flexible, regardless of which type of analog camera you use. In addition, you can add up to 8 IP cameras over the network, with each camera supporting up to 8 megapixels. If you enable "IP enhanced mode", you'll get full use of the IP features.

Recording and image quality

The recorder supports resolutions up to 8 MP on a single channel, and up to 5 MP on multiple channels. It uses H.265 Pro+ video compression, which significantly reduces data without compromising image quality.

Audio inputs and two-way communication

There is one dedicated RCA audio input and output for connecting an external microphone and speaker. The recorder also supports audio over coaxial cable, so you can get audio directly from HD cameras with built-in microphones. You can also use two-way communication, allowing you to listen and speak through the recorder (e.g., via an app or client software).

Video output and display connection

You get both HDMI and VGA outputs, which can be used at the same time. HDMI supports up to 2K resolution, ensuring sharp display on modern screens. There's also a CVBS output (analog video) for older monitors.

Network features and remote access

The recorder has one network port (RJ45), and you can connect it to your network for access via the Hik-Connect app, browser or PC software. It supports up to 32 simultaneous remote connections, so you can view video from multiple devices at once. It's also ONVIF-compatible, making it open to third-party IP cameras.

Storage 

There is space for one hard drive up to 12TB.
