MAX 2 hard drives per purchase/customer

Hard drive specially developed for surveillance/NVR - read about the size at the bottom of the page

  • Very high quality
  • Built for 24/7 operation
  • 2-year warranty

In professional settings, it can be an advantage to use several small drives rather than one large drive.
On the one hand, this increases the security of never losing recordings; on the other, your NVR will have extra capacity in cases where many cameras are connected to the same recorder.

How big a hard drive should I choose?

When you're recording your video surveillance, there are several things that affect how much storage the recordings take up.
The number of cameras and their resolution clearly matter a lot - but your setup and how much is happening in front of the camera also play a role.

The general rule is that it's better to record one hour too much than one minute too little. On the other hand, usually only Norwegians make videos that show the grass growing.

Use the calculator to get a sense of how much storage you need. If you find that interesting, read a bit more about storage optimization at the bottom of the page. And if you have more important things to do - just give us a call...

1) Choose the camera resolution...

2) Choose the number of cameras...

3) Choose the size of the hard drive...

4) Choose the number of recording hours per day... 6

Result:

The storage space is approximately equivalent to hours of video recording.

With 6 hours of recording per day, you can typically go back in time by days.1)
