BlackVue automatically switches to parking mode to monitor your parked vehicle. Thanks to the video buffer, the few seconds leading up to triggering events are also recorded. The DR970X Box Plus supports two parking modes: Motion and Impact Detection Mode and Time Lapse Mode.

Professional car camera with 4K recording and hidden “Box” unit
BlackVue DR970X Box-2CH Plus is one of BlackVue’s most advanced dashcams. The system consists of a front camera, a rear camera and a separate “Box” unit where recordings are stored. That way the recordings are better protected since the memory card is kept out of sight. The camera records in 4K Ultra HD up front and Full HD at the rear – both with Sony STARVIS sensors designed to deliver high image quality even in low-light conditions.
Records in high quality
The front camera records in 4K Ultra HD (8.3 MP) and is equipped with a Sony STARVIS 2 sensor, ensuring sharp, detailed footage day and night. The rear camera uses a Sony STARVIS Full HD sensor so license plates and surroundings are clearly captured behind the vehicle.

Built-in GPS and Wi-Fi
The DR970X Box-2CH Plus features both built-in GPS and dual-band Wi‑Fi. GPS logs your route and speed so you can see exactly where an incident happened. Wi‑Fi makes it easy to connect to the camera via the BlackVue app on your phone or computer. From there you can view live footage, download recordings or change settings — all without removing the SD card.
Parking surveillance
With the included hardwire cable the camera can monitor the car while it’s parked. If motion or an impact is detected, recording starts automatically. When you start the car again, you’ll hear a voice message if there was activity around the vehicle while it was parked.
Hidden box to store recordings
Unlike classic dashcams, this model stores recordings in a separate “Box” unit that can be hidden in the vehicle, for example in the glove compartment. This protects the SD card and buttons from tampering. That makes the model ideal for commercial fleets, taxis and other vehicles where security is a priority.
Easy operation
The camera comes with a wireless SOS button (EB-1) that can be mounted near the driver. With a single press you can manually start a recording and mark it as important so it won’t be overwritten. The camera also has automatic SD card monitoring that alerts you to errors, plus auto-restart for maximum reliability.
Cloud connectivity
BlackVue Cloud lets you view live footage, receive alerts and download videos directly to your phone — no matter where you are. A separate LTE module is required to use Cloud, which connects via the Box unit.
App and software
The BlackVue app is available for both Android and iOS, and you can also use BlackVue Viewer for Windows and Mac. Both provide access to live view, recordings and all settings. The software supports browsers such as Chrome and Safari.
