Car camera for driving with extra focus on parking monitoring

The BlackVue ELITE 9 2CH works as a full dashcam while driving with continuous recording front and rear. At the same time, the camera is equipped with advanced features for monitoring when the car is parked, including very low power consumption and intelligent event detection.

The front camera records in 4K UHD HDR, while the rear camera records in 2K QHD HDR. Both cameras use Sony STARVIS 2 image sensors, delivering clear and detailed footage in both daylight and low-light conditions.

Records in very high quality while driving

The front camera records continuously in 4K UHD HDR while driving and automatically saves events like impacts, hard braking and sudden maneuvers. The rear camera provides good coverage behind the car with 2K QHD HDR.

Continuous recording while driving

The camera functions as a classic dashcam while driving and starts recording automatically as soon as the car is started. Recordings are saved in a loop so you always have the most recent footage without having to do anything.

If an event is detected while driving, such as a collision, hard braking or strong acceleration, the recording is automatically saved as a protected file that won’t be overwritten.

Built-in GPS, Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth

The camera has built-in GPS, Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth, making it easy to access and manage recordings.

Wi‑Fi is used for wireless access via the BlackVue app, where you can view live video, download clips and change settings without removing the memory card.

The built-in GPS logs route and speed so you can see exactly where an event took place.

Advanced parking monitoring as an extra feature

In addition to continuous recording while driving, the camera can also monitor the car while it’s parked. If movement or an impact is detected, recording starts automatically.

You can choose between energy-saving parking mode, motion detection or time-lapse—depending on how much you want to record and how long the car is parked.

Parking mode requires a hardwire connection. If there has been activity around the car while it was off, you’ll get a voice alert when you start the car again.

Extremely low power consumption in parking mode

In energy-saving parking mode the camera uses under 1 mA, making it suitable for long-term parking without placing unnecessary strain on the car battery.

The camera also has built-in low-voltage and overheat protection for high operational reliability.

Easy to operate

The camera has a touch sensor that lets you quickly start a manual recording if you see something you want to save right away. There’s also a power button and LED indicators that show recording, GPS and cloud status.

You're alerted if it isn't recording

The camera monitors the memory card itself and notifies you if an error occurs. It can restart automatically at set intervals to ensure stable operation, and important events are protected from being overwritten.

Power and connections

The camera is connected via three wires: GND (ground), B+ (constant power) and ACC (ignition). It supports both 12V and 24V, so it can be used in passenger cars and vans.

A supercapacitor is used instead of a battery, which provides better durability at high temperatures.

Cloud-compatible with LTE module

With BlackVue Cloud you can view live video, receive notifications about events and access recordings directly from your phone.
The feature requires the purchase and connection of a separate LTE module.

App and software

The BlackVue app can be used on both Android and iOS for live view, downloading recordings and changing settings. The camera can also be managed from a PC or Mac.

The software supports Chrome and Safari.
