Robust Box camera from Bosch that can detect fire

The camera sees well in low light and can detect fire via advanced video analysis

Fire detection via advanced video analysis

The camera uses advanced video analysis to detect fire. It is not a thermal camera, but rather a video-based fire detection camera that uses an optical sensor to analyze video footage to detect smoke and flames. The camera is designed to work well in low light conditions, but it doesn't use thermal technology (infrared) to detect heat or temperature changes like thermal cameras do.

Intelligent human and vehicle detection

The camera has a smart technology called "Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA)" that makes it possible to detect and follow people and vehicles

  • Precise Registration : The camera can recognize and follow both people and vehicles. This means that it can register when someone enters an area or if a car drives by.
  • Fewer False Alarms : The camera can recognize certain movements and patterns. It reduces false alarms from things like rain, trees and bushes moving, snow or shadows.
  • Effective Monitoring : The camera can track movements and classify objects automatically, which means it can keep track of where people and cars are moving and notify if something unusual happens
  • Smart Alarm System : The camera can be programmed to trigger alarms according to certain rules. It can, for example, notify if a person enters a restricted area or if a car parks in a place where it is not permitted. This makes it easier to keep an eye on important areas without having to constantly look at the screen.

Night vision with Starlight X Technology

The camera uses Starlight X technology to capture clear and detailed images even when there is almost no light. Instead of traditional infrared (IR) night vision, which typically produces black and white images in the dark, Starlight X technology makes it possible to get color images even in very low light.
This means that even in almost total darkness, the camera can still see and record what is happening in great detail.

Advantages of Starlight X Technology in the Dark

  • Color images in Low Light : Unlike traditional IR night vision, which only provides black and white images, Starlight X technology can provide color images, making it easier to recognize details and objects.

  • High Sensitivity : The technology is very sensitive to light, making it possible to see details that other cameras would lose in the dark.

  • Clear Images without Glare : Even in challenging lighting conditions, such as when there are strong lights and deep shadows in the same scene, Starlight X technology ensures clear images without glare or distortion.

Although the camera does not specifically mention IR, it is designed to work effectively in low light. Therefore, it is very suitable for e.g. a disco where the lighting is low and murky.

Data Protection and Security

  • Access protection : The camera requires user authentication to access settings and video recordings, ensuring that only authorized persons can operate the system
  • Encrypted Data Transport : The camera uses an encrypted code to protect data when it is sent. This means that video recordings and other important information are kept secret and can only be seen by those with permission.
  • Certificate management : The camera uses digital certificates to confirm that it is safe to communicate with other devices. Think of certificates as digital ID cards that ensure the camera only talks to trusted devices and servers and protect against man-in-the-middle attacks.
  • Protection from Attacks : The camera has built-in measures to protect it from malicious attacks. This ensures that hackers cannot gain control of the camera or steal the data.
  • Network security: It supports network protocols such as HTTPS and 802.1x, which ensure that the camera can only be accessed by authorized devices on the network.

Local storage

The camera supports one micro SD card for local storage.

  • Micro SDHC Card: Supports up to 32GB.
  • Micro SDXC card: Supports up to 2 TB.

Motorized Technician Zoom and Focus for Setup

The camera has motorized zoom and focus, which makes it easy to adjust the viewing angle and sharpness during installation

  • Remote adjustment : When the camera is first installed, you can adjust the zoom and focus from a computer. This makes it easier to find the perfect viewing angle without having to manually adjust the camera.
  • Fine Tuning : You can fine-tune the image to ensure it is sharp and covers the desired area.
  • One-time adjustment : After the initial setup is complete, there is no need to adjust the zoom and focus regularly. The camera remains in the set position and usually does not need further adjustments unless surveillance needs change.

Easy access for YOU - no access for others!

With Bosch's free "Remote Portal" you are guaranteed easy access from all your devices and you can be sure that no one is watching!
It's that easy:

  1. Create an account on the Bosch "Remote portal"
  2. Start the camera and go to the "Connectivity" tab
  3. Enter the email and code you chose when you created the account on "Remote portal"
  4. Download App on phone/computer, press login and enter same e-mail and code.
  5. There isn't a 5th step :) but I can just mention that it's free... again...

So you don't have to open ports, remember IP addresses, etc. - you only have to remember your email and code. Easy peasy lemon squeezy :)

A Bosch surveillance camera is packed with intelligent analysis

The camera is equipped with 16 different types of VCA (Video Content Analysis)

  1. Object in field (object appears in an area)
  2. Crossing line (an object crosses a line)
  3. Loitering (stay in area)
  4. Condition change
  5. Following router (object moves outside the specified route)
  6. Tampering (attempted manipulation)
  7. Removed object (object is removed from a specified position)
  8. Idle object (an object is left behind)
  9. Entering field (object moves into an area)
  10. Leaving field (object leaving field)
  11. Similarity search (objects appear similar)
  12. Crowd detection (objects gather in groups)
  13. Counter (counts how many objects cross a line)
  14. Occupancy (Queue Counter)
  15. Traffic incidents (Traffic incidents)
  16. Traffic wrong way (oncoming traffic)

All these analyzes are available in all Bosch surveillance cameras and help make Bosch one of the best and most widely used European surveillance cameras. You can see more about the options with "Forensic Search" here.

Video

Stand-alone, closed Bosch system or part of 3rd party systems, the camera can do it all.

Independent device with SD card - you can download all your recordings directly on the Bosch Security APP, completely free of charge and without taking the SD card out of the camera, and don't worry if the SD card wears out or breaks, the camera will also keep an eye with it. This solution works well and just as easily as with a hard disk recorder.

Bosch NVR - If the camera is to be used in a larger integrated solution, it can also be connected to a hard disk recorder from Bosch, DIVAR, or via ONVIF a completely 3rd manufacturer

If you use a VMS platform such as Milestone, Genetec or a whole 3. then you can also add the camera via either Private protocol or ONVIF. If you want to take full advantage of META data from the camera, you must check the list of supported cameras on your VMS platform.

NDAA Compliant

Our models from Uniview, Bosch and Axis are NDAA compliant (National Defense Authorization Act).
This means that the equipment are trusted to be used in critical infrastructure in the US.

Power over Ethernet

Do like the professionals. POE means that only one cable is needed for the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a POE switch.

Den professionelle måde at levere strøm, til et PoE-kamera, er gennem netværkskablet.
