8 MP bullet camera with AI analytics and strong low-light performance

DS-2CD2T86G2-4I delivers images at up to 3840 × 2160 pixels. The high 8 MP resolution makes it possible to capture plenty of detail, while the camera’s light sensitivity helps deliver usable images when ambient lighting is limited.

Good image quality in low light

The camera is specified down to 0.003 lux in color and uses Hikvision’s Powered-by-DarkFighter technology for recording in low-light conditions.

When there is no longer enough ambient light, the camera can use the built-in IR illumination and continue surveillance in black and white.

Person and vehicle detection

The camera uses Hikvision AcuSense to classify people and vehicles. This makes it possible to focus alarms on these targets instead of simply reacting to any movement in the image.

Person and vehicle classification is supported together with line crossing, intrusion, region entrance, and region exiting.

IR illumination up to 80 meters

This description applies specifically to the DS-2CD2T86G2-4I. The 4I version has built-in IR illumination with a range of up to 80 meters.

IR illumination makes it possible to monitor areas without visible light, where the camera delivers a black-and-white image.

Choose between 2.8 mm and 4 mm

The DS-2CD2T86G2-4I is available with three different fixed lenses, so the field of view can be chosen based on the area to be monitored.

2.8 mm gives approximately a 111° horizontal field of view and the widest overview. 4 mm gives approximately 87° and a more focused image. 

Face Capture

DS-2CD2T86G2-4I supports Face Capture, so the camera can detect faces in the image and take pictures of them.

Face Capture should not be confused with facial recognition. The datasheet does not state that the camera can identify specific people against a face database on its own.

Better image in backlight

The camera handles areas with both strong light and dark sections, making the image more balanced in situations with major differences in lighting.

In addition, the camera supports BLC, HLC, and 3D DNR for further image adjustment.

Supports SD cards up to 512 GB

The camera supports SD cards up to 512 GB, so recordings can be stored directly in the camera. In addition, network storage via NAS and Auto Network Replenishment (ANR) are supported.

H.265+ reduces storage usage

DS-2CD2T86G2-4I supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+, and H.264. H.265+ helps reduce the amount of video data and therefore the need for storage space and network bandwidth.

IP67 for outdoor installation

The camera is IP67-rated against water and dust and is made of metal. It is specified to operate at temperatures from -30 °C to +60 °C.

PoE or 12 V DC

DS-2CD2T86G2-4I can be powered with either 12 V DC or PoE according to IEEE 802.3af. With PoE, both power and network connection can run through the same network cable.

Power over Ethernet

Do like the professionals. POE means that only one cable is needed for the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a POE switch.

ANR

Avoid losing recordings with AutomaticNetwork R eplenishment.
If there are network problems, the camera stores the recordings on an SD- card - and then sends them to the recorder when the connection is stable again.

Face Capture

Can register and save faces for later review and search, so you can get all the faces that have been registered over a selected period shown as a kind of crime album.
