Car camera for driving with extra focus on parking surveillance
The BlackVue ELITE 8 2CH acts as a full dashcam while driving with continuous recording front and rear. At the same time, the camera is designed with special focus on parking surveillance and low power consumption.
The camera uses the latest Sony STARVIS 2 image sensor in both the front and rear cameras, providing significantly better image quality in darkness and challenging lighting conditions compared to older sensors.
Records in high quality while driving
Both the front and rear cameras record continuously in 2K QHD, which is noticeably sharper than standard Full HD. The combination of high resolution and the STARVIS 2 sensor delivers clear, detailed footage in both daylight and darkness.
Continuous recording while driving
The camera works like a classic dashcam while driving and starts recording automatically as soon as the car is started. Footage is saved in a loop so you always have the latest recordings without having to do anything yourself.
If an event is detected while driving, such as a collision, hard braking or strong acceleration, the recording is automatically saved as a protected file that won't be overwritten.

Built-in GPS and Wi‑Fi
The camera has built-in GPS and Wi‑Fi, making it easy to access and manage recordings.
Via Wi‑Fi you can connect the camera wirelessly to the BlackVue app on your phone or computer. From there you can view live footage, download recordings and change settings without removing the memory card.
The built-in GPS logs route and speed so you can see exactly where an event took place.
Advanced parking surveillance as an extra feature
In addition to recording while driving, the camera can also monitor the car while it's parked. If motion or impact is detected, recording starts automatically.
You can choose between power-saving parking mode, motion detection or time-lapse — depending on how long the car is parked and how much you want to save.
A hardwire cable is included so parking mode can be used without extra purchases. If there has been activity around the car while it was turned off, you'll get a voice message when the car is started again.

Low power consumption and stable operation
The camera is optimized for low power consumption in parking mode and uses approx. 370 mA, making it suitable for long-term parking without undue strain on the car battery.
A supercapacitor is used instead of a battery, giving better durability at high temperatures.
Easy operation
The camera has a touch sensor that lets you quickly start a manual recording if you see something you want to save immediately. LED indicators show recording, GPS and cloud connection status.
Error warnings and protection of recordings
The camera monitors the memory card itself and notifies you if an error occurs. It can automatically restart at set intervals for stable operation, and important events are protected from being overwritten.
Power and connections
The camera is connected via three wires: GND (ground), B+ (constant power) and ACC (ignition). It supports both 12V and 24V and can therefore be used in both passenger cars and vans.
Cloud-compatible with LTE module
With BlackVue Cloud you can view live footage, receive event notifications and access recordings directly from your phone.
This feature requires purchase and connection of a separate LTE module.
App and software
The BlackVue app can be used on both Android and iOS for live viewing, downloading recordings and changing settings. The camera can also be managed from PC or Mac.
The software supports Chrome and Safari.
