AXIS D1110 4K decoder

4K UHD video via HDMI

AXIS D1110 can deliver video at up to 3840 × 2160 pixels at 25/30 fps via HDMI.

This makes it possible to connect the decoder directly to a compatible 4K display and show surveillance video in high resolution without a PC between the network and the screen.

Up to 16 video streams at once

The decoder supports up to 16 video streams, with eight processed via VPU and eight via CPU.

This makes it possible to build a multiview display with up to 16 camera streams on the same screen.

Automatic sequence viewing

AXIS D1110 supports sequence viewing, where live video from different cameras can be shown one after another.

This makes it possible to monitor several cameras on one screen without displaying all camera images at the same time.

Multiview for several cameras on the same screen

With multiview, several live video streams can be shown at the same time. The decoder supports up to 16 streams, so one screen can be used to monitor several cameras at once.

This lets you set up a standalone surveillance display without having a PC connected.

Multiple HDMI resolutions

The HDMI output supports several 16:9 formats. In addition to 4K UHD at 3840 × 2160 pixels, Full HD at 1920 × 1080 and HD at 1280 × 720 are supported.

SD format is also supported with 720 × 576 at 50 Hz and 720 × 480 at 60 Hz.

Up to 60 frames per second

The decoder supports up to 60 fps depending on the selected resolution.

Full HD 1920 × 1080 and HD 1280 × 720 can be displayed at up to 50/60 fps, while 4K UHD 3840 × 2160 is supported at up to 25/30 fps.

H.264 and H.265 video decoding

AXIS D1110 supports H.264/AVC Baseline, Main and High Profile, as well as H.265/HEVC Main Profile.

This enables the decoder to handle commonly used compression formats from compatible network-based video systems.

Display information and advertising

In addition to live video, the decoder can be used to display advertising or general information on the connected screen.

The content can be shown with or without sound, so the screen can also be used for other visual communication alongside the surveillance solution.

Stereo audio output

AXIS D1110 has stereo audio output via HDMI as well as a separate 3.5 mm line out.

This makes it possible to send audio together with the image via HDMI or route the audio separately to compatible audio equipment.

PoE or DC power supply

The decoder can be powered via Power over Ethernet with IEEE 802.3af/802.3at Type 2 Class 4 or via a separate 10–28 V DC power supply.

PoE makes it possible to run network connection and power through the same Ethernet cable, while the DC input provides an alternative option if the installation requires a separate power supply.

Maximum power consumption of 17 W

When using 10–28 V DC, the maximum power consumption is specified as 17 W.

Gigabit Ethernet with PoE

The network connection is made via RJ45 with support for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T, as well as PoE.

Gigabit Ethernet provides the network connection for the video streams that the decoder must receive and display on the connected screen.

2 USB Type-A ports

AXIS D1110 has two USB Type-A ports with support for HID and Mass Storage.

The USB ports can, among other things, be used together with AXIS TU9001 Control Board, AXIS TU9002 Joystick, AXIS TU9003 Keypad, USB storage, touchscreen and mouse.

HDMI with CEC

Video is sent to the screen through an HDMI Type A connection. The HDMI port supports CEC.

microSD card slot

The decoder has a card slot with support for microSD, microSDHC and microSD UHS-1 cards.

This makes local storage possible on a compatible memory card.

Open API for integration

AXIS D1110 has an open API for software integration, including VAPIX and AXIS Camera Application Platform.

This makes it possible to integrate the decoder with compatible systems and software solutions.

Axis Edge Vault cybersecurity

The decoder has Axis Edge Vault, Axis' hardware-based cybersecurity platform for protecting the device identity, integrity and sensitive information.

The platform includes, among other things, secure element, secure keystore, secure boot, Axis device ID and an encrypted file system.

Signed OS and secure boot

Signed OS enables the device to validate new device software before it is accepted for installation. Secure boot also ensures that the device can only start with a signed operating system.

This is part of the built-in protection against unauthorised software and tampering with the device.

Network security

AXIS D1110 supports, among other things, IEEE 802.1X, IEEE 802.1AE MACsec, IEEE 802.1AR, HTTPS/HSTS, TLS 1.2/1.3, Network Time Security and X.509 Certificate PKI.

In addition, the device has a host-based firewall.

Event handling and notifications

The decoder can react to various events, including lost network connection, changed IP address, active live stream and system status.

Events can trigger MQTT publication, HTTP, HTTPS, TCP or email notifications, SNMP traps and blinking status LED, among other things.

VESA- and DIN rail-compatible mounting

AXIS D1110 comes with a mounting bracket and is compatible with VESA mounting hole patterns.

It can also be mounted using the AXIS T91A03 DIN Rail Clip A, which is available as an optional accessory.

Aluminium enclosure with IP30

The decoder has an aluminium enclosure with an IP30 rating and a security slot.

It is intended for operation at temperatures from 0 °C to +40 °C and a relative humidity of 10–85% non-condensing.

Compatibility

AXIS D1110 Video Decoder 4K is compatible with AXIS Camera Station Pro, AXIS Camera Station 5 and video management software from Axis' partners.

The decoder also supports integration via VAPIX and AXIS Camera Application Platform.
