Ajax DoorProtect Plus, designed to secure doors and windows.
With Ajax DoorProtect Plus you get a stable wireless sensor that detects when a door or window is opened. The sensor sends a message to the hub and provides immediate notification to your phone if someone opens a door or window while the alarm is activated.
Set the alarm while you are at home
If you have installed magnetic contacts on doors and windows, you can create what is called a shell protection. This means that you can turn on the "shell" without all sensors activating an alarm when movement is detected. With shell protection, you can, for example, activate the alarm at night so that it detects the opening of doors and windows – without the movement sensors being activated.
How does the sensor work?
DoorProtect Plus consists of two parts : a sensor and a magnet. When the door or window is closed, the sensor detects the magnetic field. If the door or window is opened, the field is broken and the sensor sends an alarm to your Ajax hub.
- Use the large magnet (distance up to 2 cm) for wider door frames.
- Use the small magnet (distance up to 1 cm) for close mounting.
Easy to set up
DoorProtect Plus is very easy to install. Scan the QR code in the Ajax app and place the sensor on a door or window.
Easy to configure
Once the sensor is installed, you can easily customize the functions directly in the app so that it reacts the way you want. For example, you can set a delay so that the alarm is only activated a few seconds after the door is opened – giving you time to turn off the alarm when you get home. You can also choose whether the sensor should always be active or only when the alarm is on. When an opening is detected, you will receive an immediate message via notifications, SMS or call, depending on the hub and settings.
Vibration detector
The sensor has a built-in vibration sensor. This means that if someone tries to break a window or knock on the frame, the sensor will detect it and sound an alarm, while the regular DoorProtect only sounds an alarm if the window is opened.
Adjustable sensitivity
DoorProtect Plus has adjustable sensitivity, which can be set to three different levels. It can also ignore individual small shocks, which helps reduce false alarms (e.g. from wind or minor vibrations).
Chime function (sound signal when opening)
DoorProtect Plus supports the chime function, so the Ajax siren gives a short sound signal when a door is opened – without activating the alarm. This is particularly suitable for private homes and small shops.
Range
DoorProtect Plus communicates wirelessly with the hub via Ajax Jeweller technology and has a range of up to 1,200 meters in open terrain.
Battery life
The sensor comes with a CR123A battery with a lifespan of up to 5 years. The lifespan depends on several factors:
- Frequency of use.
- Ambient temperature.
- Battery quality.
Tamper protection
If someone tries to remove the sensor, it will immediately send a tamper alarm to the hub.
