Arm the alarm while you're at home
If you've installed magnetic contacts on doors and windows, you can set up what's called perimeter protection. That means you can arm the 'perimeter' without all motion sensors triggering an alarm. So you can arm the system at night so it detects if a door or window is opened — without activating the motion sensors.
How does the sensor work?

Easy to install

Easy to configure
Once the sensor is installed, you can easily customize its functions directly in the app so it behaves the way you want. For example, you can set a delay so the alarm only activates a few seconds after the door opens — giving you time to turn the alarm off when you come home.
You can also choose whether the sensor should always be active or only when the alarm is armed. If the sensor detects an opening, you'll be notified immediately via push notifications, SMS, or calls, depending on the hub and your settings

Battery life
The sensor comes with a CR123A battery that can last up to 7 years, depending on usage and temperature. If it's placed in very cold conditions, or on a door that's used frequently, the battery life will be shorter. It also depends on the quality of the battery
Tamper protection
If someone tries to remove the sensor, it will immediately send a tamper alarm to the hub.
