Ajax MotionProtect Plus 

MotionProtect Plus is especially suitable for rooms with air conditioning, heat pumps, fireplaces, strong solar heating or other environments with rapid temperature changes. The additional microwave sensor helps verify whether movement is actually caused by a person.

Two sensors working together

The detector uses both a PIR sensor and a K band microwave sensor. The PIR sensor detects thermal movement, while the microwave sensor is used for additional verification.

The microwave sensor activates only on suspicious movement and helps reduce false alarms from, for example, heaters, air conditioners, moving curtains, sunlight or warm air streams.

Detection up to 12 meters

MotionProtect Plus can detect movement up to 12 meters away when correctly mounted. The detector is designed to detect people moving across the detection area.

Suitable for rooms with thermal disturbances

Standard PIR sensors can be affected by rapid temperature changes in some environments. MotionProtect Plus is designed to operate more stably in these conditions.

That makes it particularly suitable for environments such as:

• Rooms with air conditioning
• Rooms with fireplaces or wood stoves
• Shops with large glass facades
• Technical rooms or server rooms
• Rooms with strong solar heating

Ignores small pets

The sensor can ignore small pets up to 20 kg and 50 cm when installed correctly. This makes it suitable for homes and businesses with dogs or cats.

Pet immunity, however, depends on the animal’s size, position relative to the detector, jumping, furniture and room layout. No motion detector is 100% immune to animals.

If you want maximum security without the risk of false alarms from pets, we recommend combining the solution with magnetic contacts on doors and windows.

SmartDetect analysis to reduce false alarms

Ajax SmartDetect analyses movement patterns and helps distinguish people from other disturbances. The combination of a PIR and a microwave sensor provides more stable performance in challenging environments.

Stable wireless communication

MotionProtect Plus communicates wirelessly with the Ajax hub via Jeweller technology. The system constantly monitors the connection and notifies you of faults or signal loss.

Up to 5 years of battery life

The detector is powered by a CR123A battery with up to 5 years of battery life under normal conditions. Battery status can be monitored directly in the Ajax app.

Quick installation and setup

The detector mounts to the Ajax SmartBracket without opening the casing. Adding it to the system is fast via the QR code in the Ajax app.

Tamper protection

The built-in tamper function detects if the detector is removed from the wall or opened. The system sends an immediate alert in case of sabotage attempts.
