With Ajax DoorProtect Plus you get a reliable wireless sensor that detects when a door or window is opened. The sensor sends a message to the hub and immediately notifies your phone if someone opens a door or window while the alarm is armed.
Arm the alarm while you're at home
If you’ve installed magnetic contacts on doors and windows, you can set up what’s called perimeter protection. That means you can arm the "perimeter" without all sensors triggering an alarm from motion. With perimeter protection you can, for example, activate the alarm at night so it detects doors and windows opening—without the motion sensors going off.
How does the sensor work?
DoorProtect Plus consists of two parts: a sensor and a magnet. When the door or window is closed, the sensor detects the magnetic field. If the door or window opens, the field is broken and the sensor sends an alarm to your Ajax-hub.
- Use the large magnet (range up to 2 cm) on wider door frames.
- Use the small magnet (range up to 1 cm) for tight mounting.
Easy to install
DoorProtect Plus is very easy to install. Scan the QR code in the Ajax app, and place the sensor on a door or window.
Easy to configure
Once the sensor is installed, you can easily customize its functions directly in the app so it behaves the way you want. For example, you can set a delay so the alarm only triggers a few seconds after the door opens—giving you time to disarm it when you come home. You can also choose whether the sensor should always be active or only when the alarm is armed. When an opening is detected you’ll receive an instant notification via push, SMS, or a call, depending on the hub and settings.
Vibration detector
The sensor has a built-in shock/vibration sensor. That means if someone tries to pry out a window or knocks on the frame, the sensor will detect it and trigger an alarm—while the regular DoorProtect only alarms when the window is opened.
Adjustable sensitivity
DoorProtect Plus has adjustable sensitivity with three levels. It can also ignore small knocks, which helps reduce false alarms (for example from wind or minor vibrations).
Chime feature (sound on opening)
DoorProtect Plus supports a chime function so the Ajax siren gives a short sound when a door opens—without activating the alarm. This is especially useful for homes and small shops.
Range
DoorProtect Plus communicates wirelessly with the hub using Ajax Jeweller technology and has a range of up to 1,200 meters in open space.
Battery life
The sensor comes with a CR123A battery with a life of up to 5 years. Actual life depends on several factors:
- Frequency of use.
- Ambient temperature.
- Battery quality.
Tamper protection
If someone tries to remove the sensor, it will immediately send a tamper alarm to the hub.
