Monitors whether doors and windows are opened
DS-PDMC-EG2-WE is a wireless magnetic contact that detects when a door or a window is opened.
The sensor consists of two parts that are mounted on the frame and on the door or window sash. When the two parts separate during opening, an alarm is immediately sent to the alarm system.
Sleek design
The magnetic contact has a slim design, making it easy to place discreetly on doors and windows.
It takes up minimal space and fits well in homes, offices, shops and other buildings.
Can be used on metal doors
The sensor can be mounted on both standard doors and windows as well as metal-based doors.
That makes it suitable for many different installation types where traditional magnetic contacts can struggle.
Option to connect an external sensor
The built-in alarm input allows you to connect an external wired sensor.
This could, for example, be an additional magnetic contact, a roller door contact or other types of sensors with NO or NC output.
Secure wireless communication
The magnetic contact uses Hikvision's Tri-X technology with two-way communication between the sensor and the control panel.
Communication is encrypted with AES-128 and supports frequency hopping, which protects against interference and attempts to block the signal.
Up to 1.6 km range
Under optimal conditions, the sensor can communicate with the control panel over distances up to 1.6 kilometers line of sight.
This gives great freedom when placing the device in both small and larger buildings.
Up to 5 years battery life
The sensor is powered by a CR123A battery and has an expected battery life of up to 5 years with normal use.
That reduces the need for regular maintenance and battery changes.
Tamper protection
There are built-in tamper switches on both the front and back.
If someone attempts to open or remove the sensor, the alarm system can detect the event and trigger an alarm.
Remote configuration via app
The sensor can be configured directly via Hikvision's app and alarm system.
That makes installation and maintenance faster, since many settings can be changed without physical access to the unit.
