Modular system

AXIS TU9001 is built as a modular system with separate joystick and keypad units.

This gives you the option of choosing a simple setup with just the joystick or a complete solution with both modules.

AXIS TU9002 Joystick

AXIS TU9002 is a Hall-effect joystick with three axes. The X and Y axes are used for pan and tilt, while the Z axis is used for zoom.

This provides direct control of compatible PTZ cameras and makes it easier to follow objects or adjust the camera view precisely.

Joystick and jog dial in the same unit

AXIS TU9002 can function both as a traditional joystick and as a jog dial.

You can switch between the two functions with the toggle button, allowing you to adapt the operation to the function you are working with.

Up to 16 programmable hotkeys

The joystick supports up to 16 hotkeys with customizable functions.

This gives you quick access to frequently used functions and can reduce the need to navigate through menus during everyday operation.

AXIS TU9003 Keypad

AXIS TU9003 has 26 keys with customizable functions.

The keypad makes it possible to quickly navigate between workspaces, cameras, views, and PTZ presets in AXIS Camera Station or other compatible VMS software.

Configurable LCD display

AXIS TU9003 has an LCD display with 2 × 20 characters.

The display can be customized with Axis Joystick SDK 4.0 and can be used to show relevant information directly on the control unit.

USB connection

AXIS TU9001 is powered through the USB interface, so no separate power supply is needed for the control panel.

AXIS TU9002 has both USB Type-A and USB Type-C, while AXIS TU9003 has USB Type-C.

Protected operating surface

The top of both AXIS TU9002 Joystick and AXIS TU9003 Keypad is IP54-rated.

The area around the joystick module on AXIS TU9002 is IP5x-rated, while the underside of both modules is IP20-rated.

For professional surveillance operation

The separate control modules make it possible to have direct physical control over key camera functions.

This is especially useful for ongoing camera operation, where you often need to switch between cameras, views, and PTZ positions.

Operating from 0 °C to +60 °C

AXIS TU9001 is specified for operation at temperatures from 0 °C to +60 °C and a relative humidity of 10–85% non-condensing.

For storage, temperatures from -40 °C to +70 °C and a relative humidity of 5–95% non-condensing are supported.

Compatibility

AXIS TU9001 Control Board is intended for devices with AXIS Camera Station. System requirements include Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, or Windows 11, as well as a USB 2.0 port.

AXIS TU9002 Joystick and AXIS TU9003 Keypad support AXIS Camera Station version 5.54 or later, as well as compatible video management software from Axis Application Development Partners.
