Super cool PTZ camera from Bosch that can zoom, turn and tilt

The camera uses Starlight technology to take clear and detailed images, even when it is very dark. Instead of traditional infrared (IR) night vision, which typically produces black and white images in the dark, Starlight technology can deliver color images in low light where a normal camera would switch to black and white.

Advantages of Starlight Technology in the Dark

• Color images in Low Light : Starlight technology needs very little light to create a color image. So where a traditional camera goes to black and white, a camera with Starlight keeps the color image much longer.
• High Sensitivity : The technology is sensitive to light, making it possible to see details that other cameras would lose in the dark.
• Clear Images without Glare : Even in challenging lighting conditions, such as when there are strong lights and deep shadows in the same scene, Starlight technology ensures clear images without glare or distortion.
  

The difference between Starlight and Starlight X is the light sensitivity. The Starlight technology can work in low light down to 0.0008 lux, where Starlight X can work down to 0.0003 lux, which means that even if it is almost completely dark, it can still deliver a really good image.

Data Protection and Security

• Multiple Layers of Security : The camera has multiple levels of protection that work together to ensure that the data and the camera itself are safe from attacks and unauthorized access.
  
• Access protection : There are three levels of access protection, which means that only authorized people can change settings or view the recordings. It's like having several locks on a door - only the right keys can open them.
  
• Encrypted Data Transport : When data is sent from the camera to a computer or server, it is encrypted. This means that the information has been converted into a secret code that can only be read by those who have the right encryption key. This protects the data from being intercepted by hackers.
  
• Advanced Certificate Management : The camera uses digital certificates to confirm that it is safe to communicate with other devices. Think of certificates as digital ID cards that ensure the camera only talks to trusted devices and servers.
• Protection from Attacks : The camera has built-in measures to protect it from malicious attacks. This ensures that hackers cannot gain control of the camera or steal the data.

Advanced Edge Recording

The camera has a smart feature to save videos directly in the camera, called "Advanced Edge Recording". This means that the camera uses two memory cards (SD cards), which work in a way that ensures that your videos are always safe. If one card fails, the other will automatically take over, so you won't lose any footage. This feature also means you don't have to empty or replace the cards as often, saving time and giving you longer periods of uninterrupted recording.

Built-in microphone

The camera almost allows you to be present without actually being. The built-in microphone can be used to record all sounds around the camera and even go in and listen live here and now. This property provides a very good opportunity to assess whether something is happening outside the camera's field of view, but also high investigative value, as you may be lucky to get accents or names on the recordings.

Motorized Technician Zoom and Focus for Setup

The camera has motorized zoom and focus, which makes it easy to adjust the viewing angle and sharpness during installation

• Remote adjustment : When the camera is first installed, you can adjust the zoom and focus from a computer. This makes it easier to find the perfect viewing angle without having to manually adjust the camera.
• Fine Tuning : You can fine-tune the image to ensure it is sharp and covers the desired area.
• One-time adjustment : After the initial setup is complete, there is no need to adjust the zoom and focus regularly. The camera remains in the set position and usually does not need further adjustments unless surveillance needs change

Supported special licenses that can be activated

Licenses that can be added to the camera. Licenses can basically be activated simultaneously.

• IVA Pro Buildings License: This license enables advanced video analytics features specifically designed for building surveillance. It includes functions such as intrusion detection, tracking of people and vehicles, and detection of unauthorized access.
  
• IVA Pro Perimeter License: This license is intended for perimeter surveillance and protects borders by identifying and tracking people or vehicles crossing defined lines or entering recorded areas.
• IVA Pro Traffic License: This license extends the camera's video analysis to traffic monitoring. It can be used to monitor road traffic, detect events such as queues or accidents, and analyze traffic patterns.
• Camera Trainer License : The camera has a smart feature called "Camera Trainer". This feature allows you to teach the camera to recognize specific things or objects that you choose. It can be anything from cars and people to certain objects. The camera can then detect these objects both when they are moving and when they are standing still. This means that the camera becomes more flexible and efficient because it can focus on the things that are most important to you

The camera can take sharp pictures of things passing by quickly

Because the camera can take 60 pictures per second, it is possible to get really sharp pictures of things passing by quickly, such as e.g. a moving car or a person riding a bicycle.

Rain sensor and automatic wiper

The camera has a built-in rain sensor that automatically detects when it starts to rain.
When it detects that it is starting to rain, it automatically starts the built-in wiper so that it is not bothered by the rain.

Easy access for YOU - no access for others!

With Bosch's free "Remote Portal", you are guaranteed easy access from all your devices and you can be sure that no one is watching!
It's that easy:

1. Create an account on the Bosch "Remote portal"
2. Start the camera and go to the "Connectivity" tab
3. Enter the email and code you chose when you created the account on "Remote portal"
4. Download App on phone/computer, press login and enter same e-mail and code.
5. There isn't a 5th step :) but I can just mention that it's free... again...

So there is no need to open ports, remember IP addresses, etc. - you only have to remember your email and code. Easy peasy lemon squeezy :)

Stand-alone, closed Bosch system or part of 3rd party systems, the camera can do it all.

Independent device with SD card - you can download all your recordings directly on the Bosch Security APP, completely free of charge and without taking the SD card out of the camera, and don't worry if the SD card wears out or breaks, the camera will also keep an eye with it. This solution works well and just as easily as with a hard disk recorder.

Bosch NVR - If the camera is to be part of a larger integrated solution, it can also be connected to a hard disk recorder from Bosch, DIVAR, or via ONVIF a completely 3rd manufacturer

If you use a VMS platform such as Milestone, Genetec or a whole 3. then you can also add the camera via either Private protocol or ONVIF. If you want to take full advantage of META data from the camera, you must check the list of supported cameras on your VMS platform.
