Hikvision iDS-MCD402-E/36X/I/GLE is designed for professional surveillance from vehicles. The camera mounts quickly on the roof or other magnetic surfaces using the powerful magnetic base and works as a mobile observation platform for, among others, police, emergency services, municipal authorities, road authorities, and other organizations carrying out mobile inspection and surveillance tasks.
The camera combines a powerful PTZ camera with 36× optical zoom and a fixed 4K wide-angle camera, giving the operator both a complete overview and the ability to zoom in on events or vehicles. The integrated 4G connection, GPS, and number plate recognition make it possible to send video and detections directly to the control center without the need for local network infrastructure.

Designed for surveillance from vehicles
The iDS-MCD402-E is built for installation on vehicles where a flexible surveillance solution is needed that can be moved quickly between different units. The magnetic mounting base makes installation fast, without requiring any permanent modifications to the vehicle.
The included lithium-ion battery pack works as a mobile power reserve, so the camera can continue to be used during short stops or when being moved between vehicles. During normal operation, the camera is typically connected to the vehicle's power supply.
Dual camera system provides both overview and detail
The camera is equipped with two separate image sensors. The fixed 4K camera monitors a large area, while the PTZ camera with 36× optical zoom can track and identify vehicles, people, or events over long distances.
The two cameras work together and give the operator both situational awareness and the ability to document details without the need for multiple separate cameras.
36× optical zoom
The PTZ camera is equipped with a 6-216 mm lens, delivering 36× optical zoom without any loss of image quality.
The camera can pan 360° continuously and has a tilt range from -20° to 90° with Auto-flip, making it possible to follow vehicles and events in all directions.
Automatic number plate recognition (ANPR)
The built-in ANPR function automatically detects and identifies number plates, making the camera suitable for traffic surveillance, access control, parking control, and mobile police operations.
The detections can be transmitted via 4G to HikCentral or other compatible platforms, so the information is available in real time.
AI-based video analytics
The camera supports a wide range of intelligent analysis functions based on deep learning.
In addition to number plate recognition, it also supports face detection, helmet detection, mobile phone use detection, workwear detection, smoking detection, and intrusion detection. These functions make the camera suitable for traffic, security, and industrial applications.
4G, GPS and wireless communication
The integrated 4G LTE connection makes it possible to send live video and events directly to the control center without a local network connection.
The camera also supports GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, providing accurate positioning and flexible communication during mobile operations.
IR up to 100 meters
The powerful infrared illumination provides effective surveillance in darkness at distances of up to 100 meters.
In addition, 3D DNR, Defog, and electronic image stabilization (EIS) improve image quality in rain, fog, vibrations, and other challenging conditions.
Built-in status display
An integrated 2" LCD touch display gives the operator a quick overview of the camera's current status.
The display shows, among other things, battery level, GPS status, network connection, storage capacity, recording status, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and active analysis function.
Local storage
The camera is equipped with two memory card slots, each supporting microSD cards of up to 256 GB.
The large local storage capacity makes the solution well suited for mobile installations where network connectivity may be limited.
Integration
iDS-MCD402-E supports ONVIF Profile S, G, and T as well as Hikvision's ISAPI, SDK, and ISUP.
