Tool kit for installing and testing network cables
With this kit, you get both the tools to prepare the cable, attach the connector, and then check the connection. That makes the kit practical for both new installations and troubleshooting existing cables.
Crimping tool for RJ45, RJ12 and RJ11
The included crimping tool can be used for RJ45 8P8C, RJ12 6P6C and RJ11 6P4C/DEC connectors. For standard network installations, the RJ45 function is especially relevant.
Once the conductors are positioned correctly in the RJ45 connector, the crimping tool is used to press the connector contacts down into the conductors and secure the cable.
Cable tester for checking the connection
After installation, the included cable tester can be used to check whether the connections in the cable are correct. The LED indicators make it quick to check the conductors and detect faults in the connection.
The tester can be used with, among others, UTP and FTP cables with RJ45 8P8C and RJ11 6P4C.
A great addition for installing surveillance cameras
The kit is especially practical if the network cables for IP cameras need to be adjusted and terminated on site. Instead of relying on pre-made patch cables, the installation cable can be run to the location and finished with an RJ45 connector once the desired cable length has been determined.
After installation, the cable tester can be used to check the connection before the camera, PoE switch or other network equipment is connected.
Accessories for your first cables are included
The kit includes 20 RJ45 connectors and 20 protective boots, so you have what you need to get started making network cables.
It also includes 100 cable ties as well as various tools for stripping and preparing cables.
Stored together in a practical case
The tools and accessories are stored together in a zippered case. This makes it easier to keep track of the small connectors and tools while also taking the kit with you to the installation site.
The case measures approximately 270 × 155 × 60 mm, and the full kit weighs approximately 730 grams.
Note: battery for the cable tester
The cable tester uses a 9 V 6LR61 battery. The battery is not included and must be purchased separately.
