PoE splitter for equipment with 24V DC power supply
POE-4824 is used when power and network data are combined in a PoE cable, but the connected equipment should not be powered directly via PoE. The splitter separates the connection, so you get standard Ethernet on the RJ45 connector and 24V DC on the separate power connector.
This makes it possible to run both power and data through a single network cable and only split the connections at the equipment that needs to be connected.
24V DC output with up to 1A
The splitter delivers an output voltage of approximately 24V DC with a maximum output current of 1A. The specified output voltage is between 23.6 and 24.1V DC.
Power is delivered through a 5.5 x 2.1 mm DC plug, so the splitter can be used with equipment that matches this voltage, current capacity, and connector type.
PoE input with IEEE 802.3af/at
The PoE input supports IEEE 802.3af/at and accepts an input voltage of 44-57V DC. According to the specifications, both power supply via pins 1/2 and 3/6 as well as via pins 4/5 and 7/8 are supported.
The stated nominal input power is up to 30W.
Network with up to 100 Mbps
POE-4824 supports 10/100 Mbps Ethernet. Network data is carried through the RJ45 connection, while the power is split out to the separate DC connector.
Network transmission uses pins 1/2 and 3/6.
Protection of the power output
The splitter is protected against short circuit, overcurrent, and excessive temperature. This helps protect both the splitter and the connected equipment if power conditions become abnormal.
