DS-9632NI-M8 supports up to 32 IP cameras and can record at resolutions of up to 32 MP.

The high capacity makes it possible to bring together many cameras in one central surveillance system without compromising image quality or stability.

8K video output and two separate screen displays

The NVR has two HDMI outputs and two VGA outputs. HDMI 1 can deliver a resolution of up to 8K at 30 Hz, while HDMI 2 supports up to 4K at 60 Hz.

This makes it possible to display different camera images on two screens at the same time. HDMI 1 and VGA 1 act as the main output, while HDMI 2 and VGA 2 function as a separate extra output.

When using 8K output on HDMI 1, the maximum resolution on HDMI 2 is limited to 1080p.

High decoding capacity

DS-9632NI-M8 has high decoding capacity, making it possible to display many cameras simultaneously in high resolution.

The recorder can, among other things, decode up to:

• 2 channels in 32 MP and 2 channels in 8 MP
• 10 channels in 8 MP
• 20 channels in 4 MP
• 40 channels in 1080p

320 Mbps incoming bandwidth

The incoming bandwidth of up to 320 Mbps enables the recorder to receive video streams from many high-resolution cameras at the same time.

The outgoing bandwidth of up to 400 Mbps also provides good options for remote viewing, playback, and distributing video to clients and other systems.

Space for 8 hard drives

The NVR has 8 SATA connections with support for hard drives of up to 16 TB per drive.

Total internal storage capacity can therefore reach 128 TB, depending on the hard drive choice and RAID configuration. The hard drives support hot-plug, so compatible drives can be replaced without powering down the system.

In addition, there is an eSATA connection for external storage expansion.

RAID protects your recordings

DS-9632NI-M8 supports RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 6, and RAID 10.

RAID can be used to distribute data across multiple hard drives and provide extra security if one or more drives fail. The desired RAID type is chosen based on the need for storage capacity, speed, and data security.

The recorder also supports N+M hot spare, where an extra recorder can take over the recordings if the primary NVR becomes unavailable.

Up to 16-channel simultaneous playback

Recordings from up to 16 cameras can be played back at the same time. This makes it easier to review an incident from multiple angles and compare recordings from different areas at the same time.

Dual authentication can be used for playback and export, providing extra control in installations where the recordings contain sensitive information.

H.265+ gives longer recording time

Hikvision's H.265+ compression can significantly reduce storage use compared with traditional H.264 compression.

This means more days or weeks of video can be stored on the same hard drive capacity, depending on camera resolution, frame rate, and activity level.

The recorder supports encrypted video transmission via TLS. This protects the video stream during transfer between cameras, recorder, and clients.

It also supports modern network protocols such as HTTPS, IPv4, IPv6, NFS, iSCSI, SNMP, and Hikvision ISUP.

Two Gigabit network ports

DS-9632NI-M8 has two separate Gigabit Ethernet ports. This makes it possible to separate the camera network from the rest of the network or create a more flexible network structure.

The recorder also supports Hik-Connect and DDNS, so the system can be accessed remotely when the network setup allows it.

Connections for alarms and external equipment
