Dashcam with front and rear camera
BlackVue SAFY8-2CH is a 2-channel dashcam with separate front and rear cameras. That means you can record traffic in front of the car while also capturing video of what happens behind it.
This gives you more complete documentation of your drive than a dashcam that only records through the windshield.
2K front and Full HD rear
The front camera records in 2K QHD at up to 30 frames per second, while the rear camera records in Full HD at up to 25 frames per second.
The higher resolution of the front camera provides more detail in the direction where most of the driving and traffic ahead of the car is captured.
3.2" IPS screen
SAFY8-2CH has a built-in 3.2" IPS screen. This makes it possible to operate the dashcam and view the image directly on the camera without first having to connect a phone.
Wi-Fi and app
The dashcam has built-in 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and can be connected to a compatible app. This makes it possible to use your phone with the camera and access recordings and features.
Built-in GPS
The built-in GPS allows the dashcam to record location data together with your drive. So you do not need a separate GPS unit for the camera.
Detects impacts with G-sensor
SAFY8-2CH has a built-in G-sensor that can detect impacts and shocks. This is useful for recording incidents both while driving and in connection with parking surveillance.
Parking surveillance
The camera supports parking surveillance with motion and impact detection. It also supports time-lapse, where recording is done at a different interval while parked.
Parking surveillance requires the dashcam to have power while the car is turned off. This can, for example, be done with a suitable hardwire connection or a compatible separate power supply.
Loop recording
SAFY8-2CH supports continuous loop recording. When the memory card is full, the camera can continue recording by overwriting older regular recordings.
Super capacitor
The dashcam uses a super capacitor as part of its power management instead of a regular built-in battery. BlackVue highlights this as part of the camera's solution for stable power and recording.
