2 MP AXIS dome camera with AI, motorized zoom and audio analytics
AXIS P3285-LV is built on ARTPEC-9 and has a built-in Deep Learning Processing Unit. This makes it possible to run advanced analytics directly in the camera, including AXIS Object Analytics, AXIS Audio Analytics and AXIS Image Health Analytics.
Motorized zoom from 3.4 to 9.8 mm
The varifocal lens ranges from 3.4 to 9.8 mm and has remote zoom and focus. This means you can adjust the image after installation without having to manually fine-tune the lens on the camera itself.
In the wide setting, you get a horizontal field of view of 100°, while the narrowest setting gives 32°. That makes the camera suitable for both a broad overview and a more focused image at a longer distance.
AI detection of people and vehicles
AXIS Object Analytics can detect, classify, track and count people and vehicles. The camera can, among other things, distinguish between cars, buses, trucks and bicycles.
The analytics can be used for things like line crossing, detecting objects in a specific area, dwell time, counting at a line, detecting the number of objects in an area and tailgating detection. Up to 10 analytics scenarios can be set up.
AXIS Audio Analytics
The camera has a built-in acoustic sensor and AXIS Audio Analytics. This feature can detect changes in sound levels and classify specific sounds such as screams, shouts, breaking glass and speech.
The analytics sends metadata about the detected sounds. This makes it possible to respond to relevant events, even when the cause cannot necessarily be seen in the camera image.
Lightfinder 2.0 for low-light areas
Lightfinder 2.0 helps the camera preserve color and detail when there is only a small amount of light. The camera is specified at 0.08 lux in color and 0.02 lux in black and white under the stated measurement conditions.
When it gets completely dark, the camera’s built-in IR illumination can be used for continued monitoring.
OptimizedIR up to 40 meters or more
AXIS P3285-LV has OptimizedIR with 850 nm IR LEDs and a range of 40 meters or more depending on the area. With IR illumination activated, the camera can record at 0 lux.
This means the camera can also monitor areas without regular lighting.
Forensic WDR up to 120 dB
Forensic WDR helps preserve detail when there are both very bright and dark areas in the same image. This can be useful, for example, at entrances, windows and other places where strong daylight creates large differences between light and dark areas.
The camera supports Forensic WDR up to 120 dB depending on the scene.
Up to 50/60 frames per second
AXIS P3285-LV can deliver up to 50 or 60 frames per second depending on the power frequency. This provides smoother rendering of people and other moving objects.
How far can the camera see?
With the lens in the wide setting, the DORI distances are specified as 48 meters for detection, 19 meters for observation, 9.6 meters for recognition and 4.8 meters for identification.
At maximum telephoto, the distances are specified as 135 meters for detection, 54 meters for observation, 27 meters for recognition and 14 meters for identification.
DORI is standardized calculations based on pixel density and is not the same as the camera’s IR range. The actual ability to recognize or identify people and objects depends, among other things, on lighting, movement, video compression, focus and camera placement.
AXIS Image Health Analytics
AXIS Image Health Analytics can help detect problems with the camera image. The feature can, among other things, detect if the image is blocked, the camera’s direction changes, or the image becomes blurry or underexposed.
This makes it easier to spot situations where the camera is still working, but the image is no longer usable as expected.
AXIS Live Privacy Shield
AXIS Live Privacy Shield can dynamically mask people, faces, license plates or backgrounds. The masking can, for example, be done as pixelation or with a solid-color mask.
The feature can be used when certain people or areas should not be visible in the video image.
Supports SD cards
The camera supports microSD, microSDHC and microSDXC cards, so recordings can be stored directly at the camera. The SD card can also be encrypted.
Recordings can also be stored on compatible network storage such as a NAS.
Zipstream reduces storage needs
AXIS Zipstream works with AV1, H.264 and H.265 and is designed to reduce bandwidth and storage needs while preserving relevant details in the video image.
AXIS Edge Vault
AXIS Edge Vault is the camera’s hardware-based security platform. It protects, among other things, the camera’s identity and cryptographic information and supports features such as Secure Boot, Signed Video and secure storage of cryptographic keys.
The secure element is FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified for secure storage and handling of cryptographic keys.
PoE makes installation easier
AXIS P3285-LV supports PoE, so both power and network connection can run through the same network cable. Typical power consumption with heater and IR turned off is 3.4 W, while maximum power consumption is 10 W.
For indoor use
AXIS P3285-LV is designed for indoor installation and has an IP54 rating against dust and water splashes. The camera is also IK10 rated against mechanical impact.
Operating temperature is from 0 °C to +50 °C.
