4 MP mini dome camera with AcuSense

The DS-2CD2543G2-IS combines a compact dome design with 4 MP video and Hikvision AcuSense. The IS version also includes a built-in microphone, audio input, audio output, and alarm connections.

AcuSense detects people and vehicles

Hikvision AcuSense uses Deep Learning to classify people and vehicles. This helps the camera focus alerts on relevant targets instead of simply reacting to any movement in the image.

The camera supports line crossing and intrusion detection with classification of people and vehicles.

Built-in microphone and audio connections

The camera has a built-in microphone, so sound from the area around the camera can be included in the surveillance.

The IS version also has one line-in and one line-out for external audio equipment. The datasheet does not specify a built-in speaker.

Alarm input and alarm output

The DS-2CD2543G2-IS has one alarm input and one alarm output. This makes it possible to connect compatible external alarm equipment to the camera.

4 MP gives a detailed image

The camera has a maximum resolution of 2688 × 1520 pixels and can deliver up to 25 frames per second at 50 Hz or 30 frames per second at 60 Hz.

Choose between 2.8 mm and 4 mm

The DS-2CD2543G2-IS is available with either a 2.8 mm or 4 mm fixed lens.

2.8 mm provides an approximately 104.3° horizontal field of view and is ideal when you want a wide overview of, for example, an entrance, terrace, or larger area.

4 mm provides an approximately 83.7° horizontal field of view and gives a more focused image straight ahead.

IR for surveillance in the dark

The camera has built-in 850 nm IR illumination with a range of up to 30 meters. When there is not enough light, the camera can continue monitoring with a black-and-white image.

Better image in backlight

The camera handles areas with both bright light and dark sections, giving you a more balanced image at places such as entrances, windows, and other locations with strong backlight.

In addition, BLC, HLC, and 3D DNR are supported for further image adjustment.

Face Detection

The DS-2CD2543G2-IS supports Face Detection and can therefore detect when a face appears in the image.

Face Detection should not be confused with face recognition. The datasheet specifies face detection, but not identification of specific people against a face database.

How far can the camera see?

The DORI values provide a standardized indication of the expected level of detail at different distances.

With 2.8 mm, the values are approximately 64 meters for Detect, 25 meters for Observe, 13 meters for Recognize, and 6 meters for Identify.

With 4 mm, the values are approximately 85 meters for Detect, 34 meters for Observe, 17 meters for Recognize, and 9 meters for Identify.

DORI describes the level of detail in the image and should not be confused with the camera’s IR range.

Supports SD cards up to 256 GB

The camera supports SD cards up to 256 GB, so recordings can be stored directly in the camera. It also supports network storage via NAS and Auto Network Replenishment (ANR).

H.265+ reduces storage usage

The camera supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+, and H.264. H.265+ helps reduce the amount of video data and therefore the need for storage space and network bandwidth.

IP67 and IK08

The camera is IP67 rated against water and dust and IK08 rated against physical impact. The base is made of aluminum, while the cover is made of plastic.

PoE or 12 V DC

The DS-2CD2543G2-IS can be powered by 12 V DC or via PoE according to IEEE 802.3af. With PoE, both power and network data can run through the same network cable.

Power over Ethernet

Do like the professionals. POE means that only one cable is needed for the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a POE switch.

Avoid losing recordings with AutomaticNetwork R eplenishment.
If there are network problems, the camera stores the recordings on an SD- card - and then sends them to the recorder when the connection is stable again.
