Advanced thermal PTZ camera from Bosch's MIC series.
The camera is packed with analytics and is IP68 certified, meaning it can withstand very harsh weather conditions. The thermal sensor enables the camera to detect people from very long distances.
Advanced person and vehicle detection.
The camera has a smart technology called "IVA-pro ", which uses AI to detect and follow people and vehicles.
- Precise detection : The camera can recognize and track both people and vehicles. This means it can identify when someone enters an area or if a car drives past.
- Fewer false alarms : The camera can use AI to recognize patterns and thus avoid false alarms from, for example, rain, snow, moving trees and bushes, or shadows. Using AI analysis, the number of false alarms is reduced.
- Effective surveillance : The camera can detect motion and automatically distinguish between different objects. This means it can keep track of where people and cars are moving and notify you.
- Smart alarm system : The camera can be programmed to trigger alarms according to certain rules. For example, it can notify you if a person enters a restricted area or if a car parks in a place where it is not allowed. This makes it easier to monitor important areas without having to constantly look at the screen.
Night vision with Starlight technology.
The camera uses Starlight technology to capture clear, detailed images, even in very dark conditions. Unlike traditional infrared (IR) night vision, which typically produces black-and-white images in the dark, Starlight technology can deliver color images, even in low-light conditions where a regular camera would switch to black-and-white.
Advantages of Starlight technology in the dark:
- Color images in low light : Starlight technology requires very little light to create a color image. Where a traditional camera goes black and white, a camera with Starlight keeps the color image much longer.
- High sensitivity : The technology is sensitive to light, allowing it to see details that other cameras would lose in the dark.
- Clear images without glare : Even in challenging lighting conditions, such as when there are bright lights and deep shadows in the same scene, Starlight technology ensures clear images without glare or distortion.
The difference between Starlight and Starlight X is the light sensitivity. Starlight technology can work in low light down to 0.0008 lux, where Starlight X can work down to 0.0003 lux. This means that even if it is almost completely dark, the camera can still deliver a really good image.
Data protection and security.
- Multiple layers of security : The camera has multiple levels of protection that work together to ensure that the data and the camera itself are safe from attack and unauthorized access.
- Access Protection : There are three levels of access protection that ensure that only authorized people can change settings or view recordings. It's like having multiple locks on a door - only the right keys can open them.
- Encrypted data transport : When data is sent from the camera to a computer or server, it is encrypted. This means that the information is converted into a secret code that can only be read by those who have the correct encryption key. This protects the data from being intercepted by hackers.
- Advanced Certificate Management : The camera uses digital certificates to verify that it is secure to communicate with other devices. Think of certificates as digital ID cards that ensure the camera only talks to trusted devices and servers.
- Protection against attacks : The camera has built-in measures to protect it from malicious attacks. This ensures that hackers cannot gain control of the camera or steal the data.
Local storage.
The camera supports one SD card for local storage.
SDXC card: Supports up to 2TB.
Both thermal and regular image.
The camera has a thermal image sensor with VGA resolution (640x480) and a visible image sensor with 2 MP resolution. It is designed for both thermal and visible surveillance. The lenses can work together so that if the thermal sensor detects an object, it can display the object on the normal image, which has 30x optical zoom.
Resistant camera.
The camera can withstand extreme weather conditions, dust and vibrations.
- IP68 and IK10 certification: The camera is IP68 rated. This means it is completely dustproof and can withstand prolonged immersion in water. It is also IK10 rated, meaning it is resistant to hard knocks and impacts, making it suitable for harsh environments.
- Can withstand wide temperature fluctuations: The camera can handle extreme temperature conditions from -40°C to +65°C, and it has a built-in defroster that automatically warms the lens to prevent ice and fogging.
- Optical Image Stabilization: The camera has built-in optical image stabilization, which allows it to deliver stable and clear images even when exposed to vibrations or shakes. This is a huge advantage for outdoor installations in high-wind environments or near busy highways.
Supported licenses.
The following licenses can be added to the camera and can generally be activated simultaneously.
- IVA Pro Buildings License: Enables advanced video analytics features specifically designed for building surveillance. This includes features such as intrusion detection, person and vehicle tracking, and unauthorized access detection.
- IVA Pro Perimeter License: Intended for perimeter surveillance and protects boundaries by identifying and tracking people or vehicles crossing defined lines or entering recorded areas.
- IVA Pro Traffic License: Extends the camera's video analytics to traffic monitoring. It can be used to monitor road traffic, detect incidents such as queues or accidents, and analyze traffic patterns.
- Camera Trainer License : The camera has a smart feature called "Camera Trainer". The feature allows you to teach the camera to recognize specific things or objects that you choose. This can be anything from cars and people to specific objects. The camera can then detect these things both when they are moving and when they are standing still. This means that the camera becomes more flexible and efficient because it can focus on the things that are most important to you.
- MVS-FCOM-PRCL License : Adds support for various serial protocols such as Bosch OSRD, Pelco P/D, Forward Vision, and Cohu. This allows the camera to integrate with legacy control systems.
Night vision.
The camera does not have built-in night vision, but has the option to add external IR light, which is intended for the camera.
The MIC-ILW-400, for example, is an external light source that supplies the camera with both IR and white light.
PTZ can be controlled directly from your mobile phone or computer.
The camera is a PTZ camera from Bosch that you can easily control from your mobile or computer. With the PTZ functionality (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) you can control the camera up and down, zoom in and out and move it from side to side.
- Remote control via mobile and computer: You can control the camera directly from your mobile or computer, no matter where you are. This allows you to monitor and zoom in on specific areas or objects.
- Detailed image: With the built-in 12x optical zoom that the camera comes with, you can zoom in on large distances and get detailed images of objects far away.
- Automatic movement patterns: In addition to manual control, you can program the camera to follow specific routes or monitor specific areas automatically. This is especially useful in larger surveillance areas where the camera can cover several important positions at once.
Built-in wiper.
The camera has a built-in wiper that can be activated manually or via PC and phone. This makes it easy to keep the lens clean during rain or bad weather.
