Positioning camera for demanding outdoor surveillance

DS-2DY5225IX-DM(T5) is built for installations where greater demands are placed on the camera’s movement, range, and weather resistance. The camera can pan and tilt, so you can monitor different directions from the same location.

This is especially relevant in places where the camera needs to follow activity while also making it possible to investigate incidents from a greater distance.

25x optical zoom

With 25x optical zoom, you can go from a wider overview to a closer image of people, vehicles, or other details at a distance.

It is the lens itself that zooms, giving you much better detail than simply enlarging the image digitally.

Can pan and tilt

The camera can pan continuously 360° and tilt from +90° to -90°. This gives you great flexibility to change the camera angle and monitor different directions from the same installation.

Up to 300 preset positions can be stored, and the camera can be set to patrol automatically between selected areas.

Monitoring in the dark over long distances

The camera has built-in IR illumination with a range of up to 250 meters. This makes it possible to monitor at considerable distances, even when the area is completely dark.

The camera is also designed to make use of very small amounts of existing light, giving you better images when lighting conditions get poor.

Event tracking

The camera supports manual tracking and event tracking. This means the camera’s movement can be used to follow relevant events instead of only monitoring one fixed area.

Face Capture

The camera can detect faces in the image and select good pictures of them while people are moving. It supports detection of up to 10 faces at the same time.

Face Capture is not the same as facial recognition. The datasheet describes detection and capture of faces, but not identification of people against a face database.

Detection of specific events

The camera can be set up to react when someone crosses a specific line or moves into or out of a selected area.

It can also detect, among other things, abandoned and removed objects, allowing the surveillance to be adapted to different types of incidents.

Supports SD card

The camera supports SD cards up to 256 GB, so recordings can be stored directly in the camera. It also supports network storage via NAS.

Wiper for outdoor use

The camera has a built-in wiper that can help keep the camera window free of rain and water. It is a practical feature for exposed outdoor installations where the camera needs to function in changing weather conditions.

Built for outdoor installation

The camera is IP66-rated and intended for outdoor use. It is specified for temperatures from -40 °C to +70 °C and also has protection against lightning, surge, and voltage spikes.

The model does not have special corrosion protection and is therefore not intended for environments where special protection against corrosion is required.

Audio Trigger

Univiews cameras with microphone can also respond to what they don't see. For example, it can be cries or screaming on a women's toilet if you place the camera outside the door.

PTZ

Stands for Pan, Tilt and Zoom and means the camera can turn right and left, up and down and zoom in to get the best pictures.
You can control it from your mobile, computer or even a joystick. The camera can also be set to constantly patrol between fixed points.

ANR

Avoid losing recordings with AutomaticNetwork R eplenishment.
If there are network problems, the camera stores the recordings on an SD- card - and then sends them to the recorder when the connection is stable again.

Face Capture

Can register and save faces for later review and search, so you can get all the faces that have been registered over a selected period shown as a kind of crime album.
