Super cool outdoor camera from Bosch Security.
A small bullet camera with intelligent human and vehicle detection that sees well in low light.
Advanced person and vehicle detection.
The camera has a smart technology called "IVA - pro " that allows it to detect and follow people and vehicles using AI.
- Precise detection : The camera recognizes and tracks both people and vehicles. This means it can identify when someone enters an area or if a car drives past.
- Fewer false alarms : The camera can use AI to recognize patterns and thus avoid false alarms from, for example, rain, snow, moving trees and bushes, or shadows. Through AI analysis, the frequency of false alarms is reduced.
- Effective surveillance : The camera can detect motion and automatically distinguish between different objects. This means it can keep track of where people and cars are moving and notify you.
- Smart alarm system : The camera can be programmed to trigger alarms according to certain rules. For example, it can notify you if a person enters a restricted area or if a car parks in a place where it is not allowed. This makes it easier to keep an eye on important areas without having to constantly look at the screen.
Night vision with Starlight technology.
The camera uses Starlight technology to capture clear, detailed images even in very dark conditions. Instead of traditional infrared (IR) night vision, which typically produces black-and-white images in the dark, Starlight technology can deliver color images in low light conditions where a normal camera would switch to black-and-white. When it gets completely dark, the camera turns on the IR light and the image becomes black-and-white.
Benefits of Starlight technology in the dark
- Color images in low light : Starlight technology requires very little light to create a color image. So where a traditional camera switches to black and white, a camera with Starlight keeps the color image much longer.
- High sensitivity : The technology is light-sensitive, making it possible to see details that other cameras would lose in the dark.
- Clear images without glare : Even in challenging lighting conditions, such as when there are bright lights and deep shadows in the same scene, Starlight technology ensures clear images without glare or distortion.
The difference between Starlight and Starlight X is the light sensitivity. Starlight technology can work in low light down to 0.0008 lux, where Starlight X can work all the way down to 0.0003 lux, meaning that even in almost complete darkness, it can still deliver a really good image.
Data protection and security.
- Multiple layers of security : The camera has multiple levels of protection that work together to ensure that both the data and the camera itself are safe from attack and unauthorized access.
- Access Protection : There are three levels of access protection that ensure that only authorized people can change settings or view recordings. It's like having multiple locks on a door - only the right keys can open them.
- Encrypted data transport : When data is sent from the camera to a computer or server, it is encrypted. This means that the information is converted into a secret code that can only be read by those who have the correct encryption key. This protects the data from being intercepted by hackers.
- Advanced Certificate Management : The camera uses digital certificates to verify that it is secure to communicate with other devices. Think of certificates as digital ID cards that ensure the camera only talks to trusted devices and servers.
- Protection against attacks : The camera has built-in measures to protect it from malicious attacks. This ensures that hackers cannot gain control of the camera or steal data.
Local storage.
The camera supports two micro SD cards.
- Micro SDHC card: Supports up to 32 GB.
- Micro SDXC card: Supports up to 2TB.
Advanced edge recording.
The camera has a smart feature that can save videos directly in the camera, called "Advanced Edge Recording". This means that the camera uses two memory cards (SD cards), ensuring that your videos are always safe. If one card fails, the other one automatically takes over so you don't lose any recordings. This feature also means that you don't have to empty or replace the cards as often, saving time and giving you longer periods of uninterrupted recording.
Motorized zoom and focus for setup.
The camera has motorized zoom and focus, making it easy to adjust the viewing angle and sharpness during installation.
- Remote Adjustment : When the camera is first installed, you can adjust the zoom and focus from a computer. This makes it easier to find the perfect viewing angle without having to manually adjust the camera.
- Precise adjustment : You can fine-tune the image to ensure it is sharp and covers the desired area.
- One-time adjustment : After the initial setup is complete, there is no need to adjust the zoom and focus regularly. The camera remains in the set position and usually does not need further adjustments unless the surveillance needs change.
Supported special licenses that can be activated.
The following licenses can be added to the camera and can generally be activated simultaneously.
- IVA Pro Buildings License: Enables advanced video analytics features specifically designed for building surveillance. This includes features such as intrusion detection, people and vehicle tracking, and unauthorized access detection.
- IVA Pro Perimeter License: Is intended for perimeter surveillance and protects boundaries by identifying and tracking people or vehicles crossing defined lines or entering recorded areas.
- IVA Pro Traffic License: Extends the camera's video analysis to traffic monitoring. It is used to monitor road traffic, record incidents such as queues or accidents, and analyze traffic patterns.
- Camera Trainer License : A smart feature called "Camera Trainer". The feature allows you to teach the camera to recognize specific things or objects that you choose. This can be anything from cars and people to specific objects. The camera can then detect these things both when they are moving and when they are stationary. This means that the camera becomes more flexible and efficient because it can focus on the things that are most important to you.
Easy access for YOU - no access for others.
With Bosch's free "Remote Portal" you are guaranteed easy access from all your devices and you can be sure that no one is watching!
It's that easy:

A Bosch surveillance camera is packed with intelligent analysis.
The camera is equipped with 16 different types of VCA (Video Content Analysis).
- Object in field (object appears in an area).
- Crossing line (an object crosses a line).
- Loitering (staying in an area).
- Condition change.
- Following router (object moves outside the specified route).
- Tampering (attempted manipulation).
- Removed object (object is removed from a specified position).
- Idle object (an object is left behind).
- Entering field (object moves into an area).
- Leaving field (object leaves area).
- Similarity search (objects appear similar).
- Crowd detection (objects gather in groups).
- Counter (counts how many objects cross a line)
- Occupancy (meat counter).
- Traffic incidents.
- Traffic wrong way (oncoming traffic).
All of these analyses are available in all Bosch surveillance cameras and help make Bosch one of the best and most widely used European surveillance cameras. You can see more about the possibilities with "Forensic Search" here:
Stand-alone, closed Bosch system, or part of third-party systems - the camera can do it all.
Standalone device with SD card: Recordings can be easily downloaded directly via the Bosch Security app – completely free of charge and without the need to remove the SD card from the camera. The camera also monitors the condition of the card and notifies you if it wears out or breaks. This solution is both practical and as simple as using a hard disk recorder.
Bosch NVR: If the camera is to be part of a larger overall solution, it can be connected to a Bosch hard disk recorder such as DIVAR or, via ONVIF, a device from a third-party manufacturer.
VMS Platforms: The camera can also be integrated with VMS platforms such as Milestone, Genetec or other systems via Private Protocol or ONVIF. To get the full benefit of the camera metadata, you should check if your VMS platform supports the specific camera model.
