4 MP ColorVu camera with Smart Hybrid Light

The DS-2CD2047G2H-LIU combines a large 1/1.8" image sensor with an F1.0 aperture, ColorVu, and Smart Hybrid Light. The camera can make use of very small amounts of existing light and also features both IR and white light for situations where extra illumination is needed.

ColorVu delivers color images in very low light

ColorVu is Hikvision's technology for color surveillance in very low light conditions. The DS-2CD2047G2H-LIU has a bright F1.0 aperture and a 1/1.8" image sensor and is specified down to 0.0005 lux in color.

This makes the camera especially interesting in places where color can be an important detail in recordings, such as on people, vehicles, or clothing.

Smart Hybrid Light combines IR and white light

The camera has both infrared and visible white light. With Smart Hybrid Light, you get more surveillance options after dark than with a camera that only has traditional IR light.

IR can be used for discreet monitoring in the dark, while the white light can be used when the area needs to be illuminated with visible light. The additional lighting has a range of up to 40 meters.

Focus on people and vehicles

The DS-2CD2047G2H-LIU uses Deep Learning to classify people and vehicles. This allows the camera to focus alarms on specific target types rather than only detecting that something is moving in the image.

This makes it possible to get more targeted alarms at places such as driveways, gates, and other areas where people and vehicles are the main interest.

Line crossing and monitoring of specific areas

The camera supports line crossing, intrusion, region entrance, and region exiting. These functions can trigger alarms based on the selected target types person and vehicle.

For example, you can define a line at a driveway and register when a person or vehicle crosses it. You can also define an area and register relevant targets when they move into or leave the area.

Built-in microphone

The DS-2CD2047G2H-LIU has a built-in microphone, so audio can be recorded together with video without the need for a separate microphone.

The camera also supports environmental noise filtering, which helps improve the recorded sound.

4 MP provides a detailed image

The camera has a maximum resolution of 2688 × 1520 pixels. This gives more image points than traditional Full HD and therefore good opportunities to see smaller details in recordings.

At 50 Hz, the camera can deliver up to 25 frames per second at full resolution, while at 60 Hz it supports up to 30 frames per second.

Choose between 2.8 mm and 4 mm lens

The DS-2CD2047G2H-LIU is available with either a 2.8 mm or 4 mm fixed lens. The difference is mainly how wide an area the camera shows.

2.8 mm gives about a 104° horizontal field of view and is the widest variant. It is well suited for entrances, terraces, courtyards, and areas where you want a broad overview.

4 mm gives about an 89° horizontal field of view. Here, the image is a little more focused forward, which can work well for a driveway, gate, or passage.

Better image in backlight

The camera is designed to handle areas where there is a large difference between the bright and dark parts of the image. This could be, for example, at an entrance with strong daylight in the background or in an area with both sun and shade.

The camera also supports BLC, HLC, and 3D DNR for further image adjustment.

Face Capture

The DS-2CD2047G2H-LIU supports Face Capture, so the camera can detect faces in the image and capture photos of them when they are detected.

Face Capture should not be confused with face recognition. The datasheet lists Face Capture, but not identification of specific people against a face database.

How far can the camera see?

The DORI values provide a standardized indication of the expected level of detail at different distances from the camera.

With 2.8 mm, the values are approximately 61 meters for Detect, 24 meters for Observe, 12 meters for Recognize, and 6 meters for Identify.

With 4 mm, the values are approximately 75 meters for Detect, 30 meters for Observe, 15 meters for Recognize, and 7 meters for Identify.

The DORI values should not be confused with the range of the camera's additional lighting, which is up to 40 meters.

Supports SD cards up to 512 GB

The DS-2CD2047G2H-LIU supports SD cards up to 512 GB, so recordings can be stored directly in the camera. The camera also supports network storage via NAS.

H.265+ reduces storage usage

The camera supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+, and H.264. H.265+ helps reduce the amount of video data that needs to be stored and transmitted over the network.

This means less storage space is needed, which is especially useful for long-term or continuous recording.

PoE makes installation easier

The camera can be powered by either 12 V DC or PoE according to IEEE 802.3af. When using PoE, both power and network data can run through the same network cable.

This usually means that only one cable needs to be run to the camera when connecting it to a compatible PoE switch or PoE recorder.

Metal housing and IP67

The camera's front, housing, and bracket are made of metal. The camera is IP67 rated and can be used both indoors and outdoors at temperatures from -30 °C to +60 °C.

The datasheet states that the model does not have special corrosion protection. The camera is therefore intended for areas where no special corrosion protection requirements apply.

Power over Ethernet

Do like the professionals. POE means that only one cable is needed for the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a POE switch.
