På den måde behøver man kun at trække et enkelt kabel til hvert kamera - og skal ikke døje med 230V og små strømforsyninger.
Strømmen til kameraet leveres gennem netværkskablet fra enten...
- en optager med indbygget PoE, også kaldet NVR. Et typisk valg for installationer op til og med 8 kameraer.
- en PoE-switch. Populært fortalt en fordelerdåse til netværkskabler. Det typiske valg på store installationer eller hvis man ønsker fleksibel kabelføring.
- en PoE-injector. Kan kun levere strøm til et kamera.
Af samme grund følger der ikke strømforsyning med PoE-kameraer. Du kan bestille en klassisk strømforsyning her, hvis du ikke ønsker at benytte PoE.

The surveillance camera is from the AcuSense series from Hikvision. This means that it can notify you of people and vehicles and reduce false alarms from animals, shadows and moving trees, for example. It is well suited for private homes where the camera can be mounted at a height.

About the camera
The camera is part of Hikvision's mini-bullet series. These are small bullet cameras that are not as robust in the mounting area. Therefore, they should be mounted where they cannot be reached. The camera is IP67-approved, which means that it can withstand heavy weather and can be mounted both indoors and outdoors. The camera is also easy to mount, as it can be placed on both vertical, horizontal and inclined surfaces.
Human and vehicle detection (AcuSense)
Even though the camera is intelligent, it still needs input from you. Once the camera is mounted, you can choose from several types of "smart events" :
Intrusion Detection: Here a square is drawn in the image. When a target moves into the square and stays longer than allowed (1-10 seconds), your reaction is triggered.
Line crossing: Detects if a "target" moves across the line you have drawn. It can be detected in both directions or just one way. This can be used, for example, on one-way roads, so that an alarm is given when driving against the direction of travel, or in a driveway where you only get a notification when you arrive and not when you leave.
What is a reaction? The event that is triggered when a rule is violated is called a reaction. Depending on which model is chosen, you have different options. The most commonly used reactions are:
- Push notification on your mobile (get a picture sent directly to your phone of the goal that broke the rule, with a link to live playback in the app).
- Send email (use with caution, as email providers may close your account on suspicion of spamming if too many images are sent).
- Flashing with white light.
- Warning sound (siren or voice warning - there is also the option to record your own messages)*.
To have all functions, choose the models where the model number ends in IU/SL.
Which AcuSense mini bullet cameras can do what?
The camera's features can be identified from the last part of the model name:
- DS-2CDXXX6G2H- I = Standard with infrared night vision.
- DS-2CDXXX6G2H- IU = With infrared night vision and microphone.
- DS-2CDXXX6G2H- IU/SL = With infrared night vision, microphone, white strobe light and speaker.
IP67 approved
The camera is IP67 rated, meaning it is resistant to all weather conditions. The camera can be mounted both indoors and outdoors.
- Dustproof (6) : Full protection against dust.
- Waterproof by immersion (7) : Withstands temporary immersion in water up to 1 meter deep for up to 30 minutes.
Supports microSD cards
The camera supports microSD cards up to 512 GB (memory card not included, but can be purchased here ).
About the lens
The camera is available with several lenses, and the lens choice has an impact on the FOV (Field of View) or in Danish: angle of view.
2.8 mm lens provides:

- Diagonal (corner to corner) FOV: 128.2°
4 mm lens provides:

Assembly
The camera is easy to install and can be mounted directly on a wall, ceiling or overhang. A back box or bracket may be required if the cable assembly cannot be hidden in the wall, ceiling or overhang. Under the 'accessories' tab you can see which brackets are suitable for the camera.
