8 MP ColorVu camera for 24/7 surveillance

The camera is equipped with a large 1/1.8" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor and delivers a maximum resolution of 3840 × 2160. At 50 Hz, the camera can record at up to 25 frames per second in full 8 MP resolution.

ColorVu technology combines the light-sensitive sensor with F1.0 optics that let in a lot of light. This helps the camera deliver colorful and detailed images even in very low light conditions.

The camera has a minimum illumination of just 0.0005 lux at F1.0 with AGC enabled. At 0 lux, the built-in supplemental light can be used.

The camera is available with either a 2.8 mm or 4 mm fixed lens. The 2.8 mm version provides a wide horizontal field of view of 108.8°, while the 4 mm version offers 93.3°.

Smart Hybrid Light with up to 60 meters range

Smart Hybrid Light combines IR light and white light and supports three supplemental lighting modes. This makes it possible to adapt the lighting to the current surveillance situation.

The supplemental light has a range of up to 60 meters, while the IR illumination uses a wavelength of 850 nm.

HikAI-ISP and 130 dB WDR

HikAI-ISP helps reduce noise and improve image quality. The camera also features 130 dB WDR, which helps preserve details in areas with strong differences between bright and dark sections.

Image processing also includes BLC, HLC, 3D DNR, Distortion Correction, and Defog.

Electronic image stabilization

The built-in EIS function provides electronic image stabilization. It helps stabilize the image in installations where vibrations or movement can affect the camera.

Intelligent person and vehicle detection

The camera’s deep learning technology can classify people and vehicles. This classification can be used together with motion detection and perimeter protection, allowing the camera to trigger events based on specific target types.

Perimeter protection includes:

• Line crossing
• Intrusion detection
• Area entry detection
• Area exit detection

The functions support alarm triggering based on people and vehicles.

Face Capture and smart events

The camera supports Face Capture, making it possible to detect and capture faces as part of intelligent video analytics.

It also supports scene change detection, motion detection with person and vehicle filtering, tamper alarm, and system exceptions.

Active deterrence with strobe light and sound

The camera can respond actively to detected events with both a strobe light and an audible warning. The /SL version uses a white strobe light, while the /SRB version uses red and blue lights.

The built-in speaker has a maximum output of 2 W and a maximum sound pressure level of 120 dB measured at 10 cm.

Dual microphone and two-way communication

The built-in arrayed dual microphone allows audio recording together with video. The camera’s built-in speaker also makes two-way communication possible.

The camera also has one line-in and one line-out for external audio equipment and supports G.711, G.722.1, G.726, MP2L2, PCM, MP3, and AAC-LC, among others.

Local storage up to 512 GB

The built-in card slot supports microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC cards with a capacity of up to 512 GB. Recordings can therefore be saved locally directly in the camera.

The camera also supports network storage via NAS with NFS and SMB/CIFS, as well as Auto Network Replenishment (ANR).

2 alarm inputs and 2 alarm outputs

The camera has two alarm inputs and two alarm outputs for integration with external devices and alarm systems.

When an event is detected, the camera can, among other things, start recording, take snapshots, activate the alarm output, emit an audible warning, activate the strobe light, send email, or transfer material to FTP, NAS, or a memory card.

Efficient H.265+ video compression

The main stream supports H.265, H.265+, H.264, and H.264+, making it possible to compress video data efficiently and reduce storage and network bandwidth requirements.

The camera supports main stream, sub-stream, and, under certain settings, a third video stream.

Robust metal construction with IP67 and NEMA 4X

The camera’s front, body, and bracket are made of metal. The IP67 rating protects the camera against dust and water, while NEMA 4X provides extra corrosion protection.

Hikvision classifies the model as "Moderate Protection". It is therefore intended for areas with moderate corrosion protection requirements, including coastal areas about 2 km from the shoreline and areas affected by acid rain.

The camera can be used at temperatures from -30 °C to 60 °C and humidity up to 95% without condensation.

Compatibility and installation

The camera supports ONVIF Profile S, T, and G as well as ISAPI, SDK, and ISUP. It can be used with Hikvision’s iVMS-4200, Hik-Connect, and Hik-Central.

Network connectivity is via 10/100 Mbit RJ45. Power can be supplied by 12 V DC or PoE via IEEE 802.3at Class 4.

For mounting, DS-1275ZJ-SUS and DS-1275ZJ-S-SUS are supported for vertical pole mounting, DS-1260ZJ for junction box installation, and DS-1276ZJ-SUS for corner mounting.
