4 MP bullet camera with motorized zoom and AI analytics

DS-2CD3B46G2T-IZHSY delivers images at up to 2688 × 1520 pixels and features a 1/1.8" sensor. The camera is designed for installations where high light sensitivity, adjustable viewing angle, and advanced analysis of activity in front of the camera are all required.

Motorized zoom

The camera is available with either a 2.8-12 mm or 8-32 mm motorized lens. This means the image section can be adjusted without having to manually set the lens on the camera itself.

2.8-12 mm provides a horizontal field of view from approximately 114° to 41.8° and is ideal when you want the option to move from a wide overview to a more focused area.

8-32 mm provides a horizontal field of view from approximately 42.5° to 15.2° and is designed for a narrower field of view and monitoring from a greater distance.

DarkFighter for very low light

The camera features DarkFighter and is specified down to 0.0014 lux in color with the 2.8-12 mm lens. This makes the camera well suited for areas with limited existing lighting.

When there isn’t enough light, the camera can use the built-in IR illumination and continue monitoring in black and white.

IR adapted to the lens

With the 2.8-12 mm lens, the IR range is up to 60 meters. With the 8-32 mm lens, the IR range is up to 80 meters.

Person and vehicle detection

The camera’s AI analytics can distinguish people and vehicles from other motion. The classification can be used together with line crossing, intrusion, region entrance, and region exiting, so the camera can focus alarms on specific target types.

Face Capture and people counting

DS-2CD3B46G2T-IZHSY supports both Face Capture and people counting. Face Capture makes it possible to detect faces and take pictures of them, while people counting can be used to register the number of people.

Face Capture should not be confused with facial recognition. The datasheet does not state that the camera itself identifies specific people against a face database.

Multiple types of event detection

In addition to person and vehicle analytics, the camera also supports scene change detection, audio exception detection, defocus detection, unattended baggage detection, and object removal detection.

HEOP for third-party applications

The camera supports Hikvision Embedded Open Platform (HEOP 2.0), which makes it possible to import compatible third-party applications directly to the camera.

For this, the camera also includes 1.5 TOPS computing capacity, 60 MB system memory, 400 MB Smart RAM, and 2 GB eMMC.

Audio and alarm connections

The camera has one line input and one line output for external audio equipment. In addition, there are 3 alarm inputs and 3 alarm outputs for integration with external equipment.

The datasheet does not specify a built-in microphone or speaker.

Supports SD cards up to 512 GB

The camera supports SD cards up to 512 GB, so recordings can be stored locally in the camera. In addition, network storage via NAS and Auto Network Replenishment (ANR) is supported.

NEMA 4X corrosion protection

The Y version is NEMA 4X rated and, according to Hikvision, is placed in the category with moderate corrosion protection. Hikvision mentions areas about 2 km from the coastline and areas affected by acid rain as typical application environments for this protection level.

IP67 and IK10

The camera is IP67 rated against water and dust and IK10 rated against mechanical impact. The camera housing is made of aluminum alloy and is specified for operation from -40 °C to +60 °C.

Powered by PoE+, 12 V DC or 24 V AC

DS-2CD3B46G2T-IZHSY can be powered by 12 V DC, 24 V AC, or PoE+ according to IEEE 802.3at. With PoE+, power and network connection can be carried through the same Ethernet cable.

Accessories

According to the datasheet, the Y version comes with a DS-1260ZJ-AC junction box. The DS-1275ZJ-Y bracket for mounting on a vertical pole is listed as optional accessory.

Power over Ethernet

Do like the professionals. POE means that only one cable is needed for the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a POE switch.

Alarm in/out

Start shooting when the alarm goes or a door is opened - and use the image analyzes to control your Philips Hue or open a port.
Alarm in and out allows you to connect cameras and recorders to other equipment.

Face Capture

Can register and save faces for later review and search, so you can get all the faces that have been registered over a selected period shown as a kind of crime album.
