8 MP bullet camera with motorized zoom and AI analytics

DS-2CD3B86G2T-IZHSY delivers images at up to 3840 × 2160 pixels and features a 1/1.8" sensor. The combination of high resolution, motorized lens, and advanced analytics makes it possible to adapt the camera for both wide areas and more focused long-distance surveillance.

Motorized zoom

The camera is available with either a 2.8-12 mm or 8-32 mm motorized lens. This means zoom and focus can be adjusted without manually setting the lens on the camera itself.

2.8-12 mm provides a horizontal field of view from around 112° to 41° and can be used from a wide overview to a more focused area.

8-32 mm provides a horizontal field of view from around 41.8° to 15° and gives a significantly narrower field of view for areas farther away.

DarkFighter for low light

The camera uses DarkFighter and is specified down to 0.004 lux in color at F1.4. This helps the camera deliver usable images when existing lighting is limited.

When there isn’t enough light, the camera can use the built-in IR illumination and continue monitoring in black and white.

IR up to 60 or 80 meters

The IR range depends on the selected lens. With the 2.8-12 mm lens, the range is up to 60 meters, while the version with the 8-32 mm lens has IR illumination up to 80 meters.

Person and vehicle detection

The camera’s AI analytics can classify people and vehicles. It can be used together with line crossing, intrusion, region entrance, and region exiting, so alarms can be triggered based on specific targets.

Face Capture and people counting

DS-2CD3B86G2T-IZHSY supports both Face Capture and people counting. Face Capture can detect faces and take pictures of them, while people counting can be used to record the number of people.

Face Capture should not be confused with facial recognition. The datasheet does not indicate that the camera itself can identify specific people against a face database.

Multiple types of event detection

In addition to person and vehicle analytics, the camera supports scene change detection, audio exception detection, defocus detection, unattended baggage detection, and object removal detection.

HEOP for third-party applications

The camera supports Hikvision Embedded Open Platform (HEOP 2.0), which makes it possible to import compatible third-party applications.

The camera has 1.5 TOPS of computing power, 40 MB system memory, 350 MB Smart RAM, and 2 GB eMMC for HEOP functions.

Audio and alarm connections

The camera has one line input and one line output for external audio equipment. In addition, it has 3 alarm inputs and 3 alarm outputs for integration with other equipment.

Supports SD cards up to 512 GB

DS-2CD3B86G2T-IZHSY supports SD cards up to 512 GB for local storage. The camera also supports network storage via NAS and Auto Network Replenishment (ANR).

Better image quality in challenging lighting conditions

The camera can handle areas with both strong light and dark sections in the same image. It also supports BLC, HLC, 3D DNR, and Defog for additional image adjustment.

NEMA 4X corrosion protection

DS-2CD3B86G2T-IZHSY is the Y version with NEMA 4X. Hikvision classifies this version with moderate corrosion protection and mentions coastal areas about 2 km from the shoreline, as well as areas affected by acid rain, as typical use environments.

IP67 and IK10

The camera is IP67-rated against water and dust and IK10-rated against mechanical impact. The camera housing is made of aluminum alloy and is specified for operation from -40 °C to +60 °C.

PoE+, 12 V DC or 24 V AC

The camera can be powered by 12 V DC, 24 V AC, or PoE+ according to IEEE 802.3at. With PoE+, both power and network connection can be carried through the same network cable.

Power over Ethernet

Do like the professionals. POE means that only one cable is needed for the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a POE switch.

Alarm in/out
