8MP varifocal camera with advanced analytics and powerful image sensor
Hikvision DS-2CD3B86G2T-IZHSY is a network camera with 8 MP resolution and DarkFighter technology, delivering detailed footage even in low-light conditions. The camera is suitable for both private and commercial installations where high image quality matters.
Motorized varifocal lens
The camera comes with a motorized varifocal lens available in either 2.8–12 mm or 8–32 mm. Focus and zoom can be adjusted directly via software or recorder, making setup flexible whether you want a wide overview or long-range monitoring.
Human and vehicle detection
The camera has built-in analytics that can distinguish between people and vehicles. It is based on deep learning and reduces the number of alarms triggered by irrelevant motion, such as animals, leaves or rain.
System resources
The unit offers 1.5 Tops of processing power, 40 MB system memory, 350 MB smart RAM and 2 GB eMMC storage. The built-in eMMC supports analytics and temporary storage without the need for an SD card, but long-term video storage still requires an NVR or server.
Connections and integration
The camera supports Hikvision Embedded Open Platform (HEOP), allowing installation of third-party applications. It also has audio and alarm interfaces for integration with external equipment such as microphones, speakers or sensors.
Weather and vandal protection
The camera is IP67-rated, making it dust- and water-resistant. The housing is also IK10-rated for high impact resistance. This Y(H) version includes anti-corrosion treatment and NEMA 4X certification, so it can be used in environments with extra demands, for example coastal areas.
NEMA 4X
This Y(H) version is treated for corrosion resistance and NEMA 4X certified. NEMA 4X means the camera has been tested to withstand rain, snow, salt, dust and corrosive environments. That makes this model well suited for harsh climates, for example near the sea or in industrial settings where regular cameras can quickly be damaged.
