Set for transmitting ethernet over coax cable

With this kit you can establish an IP solution via the old coax cables from your previous analog system. This way you don't have to replace all the cables.

IP surveillance via coaxial cables

When used together, the LR1002-1ET (transmitter) and LR1002-1EC (receiver) act as a bridge between an IP network and an existing coax cable, allowing old coax cables from analog cameras to be reused for new IP cameras.

Limitations

  • If the coax cables are of poor quality or too old, it can reduce network speed or impair PoE supply.
  • Maximum speed is 100 Mbps up to 400 meters – the speed drops to 10 Mbps at longer distances.
  • Passive PoE – requires compatibility with network equipment.
  • Maximum of eight LR1002-1EC units per switch, which may limit scalability in larger systems.

LR1002-1ET transmitter (sender)

  • Function : Transmits network signal and PoE power via coax cable.
  • Ports : 1 × RJ45 (10/100 Mbps) and 1 × BNC (coax).
  • PoE output : Passive 48 V PoE via coax.
  • Power consumption : < 2 W.
  • Maximum distance :
    • 100 Mbps up to 400 meters via RG59.
    • 10 Mbps up to 1000 meters via RG59.

LR1002-1EC receiver

  • Function : Receives network signal and PoE power from coax cable and converts it to RJ45.
  • Ports : 1 × RJ45 (10/100 Mbps) and 1 × BNC (coax).
  • Power consumption : < 2 W.

Assembly

  1. LR1002-1ET (transmitter) is placed at the PoE switch/NVR.
  2. The coaxial cable connects the transmitter and receiver.
  3. LR1002-1EC (receiver) is placed at the IP camera that will receive the signal.
