Explosion-proof surveillance for demanding environments
EXC2614S-X33-W-VD2 gives you professional video surveillance in areas with special safety requirements. The camera is certified for use in explosive zones and is built in robust stainless steel so you can install it in environments with chemical exposure and extreme weather conditions.
ATEX and IECEx certified
The camera is approved according to international standards for explosive atmospheres. That means you can install it in zones where flammable gases or dust may occur. The certification ensures the camera is designed so it does not become an ignition source during normal operation. This is crucial in refineries, chemical plants and other high-risk areas.
316L stainless steel
The housing is made from 316L stainless steel, which is especially resistant to corrosion. This makes the camera suitable for coastal areas, offshore installations and environments with chemical exposure. You get a solution that withstands salt, moisture and aggressive surroundings without losing functionality.
4MP resolution with high light sensitivity
The camera records in 4 megapixels, giving you a sharp, detailed image where you can clearly see people, vehicles and movements in the area. The resolution ensures you can zoom into recordings afterwards and still retain useful detail.
The built-in sensor is designed to be extra light-sensitive. That means the camera uses available light far better than traditional cameras. Even in dim environments, at dusk or during night operation you can achieve clear and stable images without heavy noise.
In industrial environments where lighting is often limited or uneven, it's crucial that the camera can handle dark areas without losing detail. This can include warehouses, refineries, production plants or outdoor installations where only work lighting or scattered lighting is available.
The result is a more useful surveillance image both day and night, without having to install unnecessarily powerful extra lighting in the area.
33x optical zoom
The powerful optical zoom allows you to monitor large areas while zooming in on distant details. For example, you can cover a large tank area and still zoom in on a specific valve, vehicle or work zone without losing image quality.
200-meter infrared night illumination
With up to 200 meters of infrared range you can monitor large outdoor areas in total darkness. That makes the camera suitable for open industrial areas, ports and larger facilities where night surveillance is required.
Intelligent perimeter monitoring
You can define virtual lines and zones directly on the image where the camera should react if someone moves into, out of, or lingers in the area. That means you don't just get a general motion alarm, but targeted monitoring of the exact areas that are critical to you.
For example, you can set up a line along a fence, a tank, a gate or a security zone. When a person or vehicle crosses the line, the system records the event and can send an alarm. In the same way you can mark an area around sensitive equipment where you'd like to be notified if someone stays there outside working hours.
The system can distinguish between people, vehicles and other movements in the surroundings. That means moving shadows, rain, smoke or small animals are much less likely to trigger alarms. You therefore get fewer unnecessary notifications and a more manageable alarm system.
In explosive and industrial environments it is especially important that alarms are precise. When you are only alerted to real incidents, you can react faster and more effectively to situations that require attention.
People counting and density analysis
The camera can detect and count people who pass a defined line, for example at the entrance to an area, a production hall or a security zone. This gives you automatic statistics on how many move in and out during the day, without manual logging.
It gives you a concrete overview of access and staffing at different times. For example, you can document how many people were in an area during a shift, or get insight into peak periods with extra activity.
Beyond counting, the camera can analyze how densely people are gathered in a certain area. This means you can get an indication of crowding or congestion in selected zones. In industrial environments this can be relevant at control rooms, safety airlocks, workstations or areas with limited space.
The feature gives you not only security value, but also a tool for planning and documentation. You get data that can be used to optimize workflows, improve safety and ensure compliance with internal guidelines.
Stable image quality in challenging conditions
The camera has features that help preserve image quality in situations with strong backlight, fog or heat distortion. That means you get clearer outlines and better contrast, even when the environment challenges the image.
Multiple power supply options
You can power the camera with 230V AC or via PoE+. This gives flexibility when installing in different types of facilities where power conditions may vary.
Local and central storage
The camera supports SD cards and can also be connected to an NVR or network storage. That way you can have both local recording and central archiving.
IP68 and NEMA 4X
The camera is sealed against water and dust and can be installed outdoors in demanding environments. It is designed to operate reliably in both cold and hot conditions.
Accessories
There is a specially developed wall mount in 316L stainless steel, model TR-WM06-L-H, designed for explosion-proof installations. It's always recommended to choose mounts and installation accessories that match the camera's certification and environmental requirements.
