SFP-XG-SX-MM850-IN is a compact SFP+ transceiver module that makes it possible to transfer data at up to 10 Gbps via multimode fiber. The module uses an 850 nm wavelength and supports connections of up to 300 meters.

What is an SFP+ fiber module?

An SFP+ fiber module makes it possible to create a fiber connection between two compatible devices with SFP+ ports, such as network switches, servers, or recorders. The module is inserted directly into the SFP+ port and converts the electrical signal into an optical signal, which is sent through a fiber cable.

To create a connection, one SFP+ module is needed at each end, along with a compatible multimode fiber cable with LC connectors. Once both modules are installed, the devices can communicate at up to 10 Gbps over distances of up to 300 meters.
