PoE switch designed for video surveillance
Uniview ISW2000-4T2GP-POE-IN is a PoE switch that is well suited for installing IP surveillance cameras.
The switch has 4 PoE ports, so both power and data can be sent to the cameras through the same network cable. This means you normally only need to run one cable to each camera.
4 PoE ports with up to 30 W per port
The 4 network ports support PoE according to the IEEE 802.3af/at standards and can deliver up to 30 W on each port.
This makes it possible to connect compatible surveillance cameras directly to the switch without a separate power supply at each camera.
Up to 250 meters in CCTV mode
Normally, a network cable is limited to around 100 meters. With CCTV mode, the switch can extend the distance for data and PoE up to 250 meters.
This can be a major advantage in larger buildings, warehouses, farms, or other installations where a camera needs to be placed far away from the switch.
When CCTV mode is used, the connection on the relevant ports is reduced to 10 Mbps. It is this lower speed that makes the longer cable distance possible.
VLAN mode
The switch also has a VLAN function that separates the individual camera ports from each other.
This means that devices on the 4 camera ports cannot communicate directly with each other, only with the uplink ports. Among other things, this can help keep camera network traffic separate.
2 SFP ports
There are 2 Gigabit SFP ports, which can be used to connect the switch further via fiber with suitable SFP modules.
Fiber can be an advantage when the connection needs to run over longer distances or between different buildings.
Designed for demanding environments
The switch can operate at temperatures from -30 °C to 65 °C.
This makes it suitable for installations where the temperature can vary significantly more than in a typical office or server environment.
Surge protection
