Hikvision DS-2CD2746G2-IZS 2.8-12mm Motor Zoom AcuSense PoE

This is one of the coolest and smartest cameras on the market. The surveillance camera is from Hikvision’s AcuSense family, which means it is especially well suited to sending you phone alerts for people and vehicles. About the camera
The camera can be used both indoors and outdoors, as it is IP67 rated, as long as you also install the included membrane. An SD card can be mounted in the camera, which is opened with the included tool (SD card (memory card not included, but can be purchased here). Screws, wall plugs and a drilling template are also included, which can easily be taped to concrete or brick so you know exactly where to drill. The camera can be mounted in any direction, like a 3-axis camera. The camera can be connected directly to your Hikvision recorder or NAS, but it can also be used completely on its own with an SD card (memory card). Once the SD card is inserted, the camera records video directly onto the card and it can be played back directly from the app, so you do not need to remove it. The camera can monitor the health status of the SD card.

There are different types of AcuSense cameras, but what they all have in common is the designation at the end of the model number.

The model name tells you which functions the camera has, if it ends with:

• DS-2CDXXX6G2-I = Standard with infrared night vision
• DS-2CDXXX6G2-IU= With infrared night vision and microphone
• DS-2CDXXX6G2-ISU = With infrared night vision, microphone, alarm input and output
• DS-2CDXXX6G2-ISU/SL = With infrared night vision, microphone, alarm input and output, plus white strobe light and speaker

About the lens
The camera is available with several lenses, and the lens affects the "FOV" (Field Of View), or in Danish: viewing angle.
2.8 mm lens gives a horizontal FOV of 103°, vertical FOV of 55° and diagonal FOV of 123°
4 mm lens gives a horizontal FOV of 83°, vertical FOV of 45° and diagonal FOV of 98°

About AcuSense
Even though the camera is intelligent, it still needs some input from you. Once the camera is installed, you can choose between several types of "smart events", including "intrusion detection", where a box is drawn in the image, and when a target moves into the box and remains there longer than you allow (1-10 seconds), your "response" is triggered. There is also line crossing, which detects whether a "target" moves across the line you have drawn. It can be both directions or only one direction. This can for example be used for one-way roads, so an alarm is triggered if someone drives the wrong way, or in a driveway so you only get notified when people arrive, but not when they leave.

What is a response? The event triggered when a rule is violated is called a "response." Depending on which model you choose, there are different options.
Most commonly used "responses":

• Push notification on your mobile phone (receive an image directly on your phone of the target that broke the rule, with a link to direct playback in the app)
• Send email (this function should be used with caution, as the email provider may close your account on suspicion of spamming if too many images are sent)
• Flash white light
• Warning sound (siren or voice warning - there is also the option to record your own messages)*
• Alarm output (open a garage door, turn on lights, send a signal to your alarm system, integration with IHC, etc.

To have all functions, you must choose the models whose model number ends with ISU/SL

Most cameras in the AcuSense series are available in 4 and 8 megapixels (2K and 4K)

If the camera is connected to a newer recorder, you can also create "combined" responses. This means that another specified rule must have been broken before the "response" is triggered (AND logic). In practical terms, this means you can, for example, "combine" it with an "alarm input" so the camera only sends notifications if the alarm is armed or a motion sensor is triggered. In this way, the system can be integrated into the building’s systems.

No power supply is included with the camera, as most users simply use a PoE switch, but if you do not already have a power supply for the camera, you can choose one of the following options:

Mounting bracket
The camera can be mounted directly on a wall or in a ceiling/eaves. A back box/bracket may be necessary if the connection cannot be placed behind the wall, ceiling or eaves.
If your AcuSense camera is to be mounted on a pole, you will also need a pole bracket. The model numbers for the bracket and pole bracket can be seen in the datasheet.

NB: REMEMBER TO ADD NETWORK CABLES IF YOU DO NOT ALREADY HAVE THEM. YOU WILL NEED TWO: ONE LONG CABLE FROM THE CAMERA TO THE POE INJECTOR, WHICH IS TYPICALLY PLACED NEAR THE ROUTER, AND ONE SHORT CABLE FROM THE POE INJECTOR TO THE ROUTER. CHOOSE CABLE!
