8 MP ColorVu dome camera with motorized PTRZ

The camera is equipped with a large 1/1.8" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor and delivers 8 MP resolution up to 3840 × 2160 at 25 frames per second at 50 Hz.

The large sensor is combined with a bright F1.2 lens and ColorVu technology, so the camera can preserve color and detail even in very low light conditions.

Motorized Pan, Tilt, Rotate and Zoom

The PTRZ function makes it possible to remotely adjust the camera’s Pan, Tilt, Rotate, and Zoom. This lets you fine-tune the camera direction and field of view without having to manually adjust the camera module after installation.

Pan can be adjusted from 0° to 350°, tilt from 0° to 85°, and rotation from 0° to 350°. Remote adjustment is specified for a maximum of 1,000 adjustment cycles.

Motorized 2.8-12 mm varifocal lens

The motorized 2.8-12 mm varifocal lens makes it easy to adapt the image area to the installation. The horizontal field of view can be adjusted from 112.3° at wide angle to 41.2° at telephoto.

At wide angle, the DORI detection distance is 89.2 meters and the identification distance is 8.9 meters. At telephoto, the detection distance increases to 220 meters and the identification distance to 22 meters.

ColorVu for color images in very low light

ColorVu technology combined with the F1.2 lens provides a minimum illumination of just 0.0005 lux with AGC enabled. This allows the camera to preserve colors and visual details in very low light conditions.

At 0 lux, the camera’s built-in supplemental lighting can be used.

Smart Hybrid Light with IR and white light

The camera has both 850 nm IR light and white light, as well as Smart Hybrid Light. This makes it possible to use different lighting modes depending on the surveillance situation.

The supplemental light has a range of up to 40 meters.

HikAI-ISP and 130 dB True WDR

HikAI-ISP helps reduce noise and improve image quality. At the same time, 130 dB True WDR helps preserve details when very bright and very dark areas appear in the same image.

The camera also supports BLC, HLC, and 3D DNR for additional image enhancement.

Intelligent detection of people and vehicles

The camera’s deep learning technology can classify people and vehicles. The function can be used together with motion detection and perimeter protection, so alarms can be targeted at specific object types.

Perimeter protection includes:

• Line crossing
• Intrusion detection
• Area entry detection
• Area exit detection

The functions support alarm triggering based on people and vehicles.

Face Capture

The camera supports Face Capture and can therefore detect and capture faces as part of intelligent video analysis.

It also supports, among other things, scene change detection, motion detection, tamper alarm, and system-related exceptions.

Active warning with strobe light and sound

DS-2CD2787G3-LIPTRZS2UY/SL has an active warning function with white strobe light and built-in speaker. This means the camera can trigger both a visible and audible warning when relevant events occur.

The built-in Smart PA Speaker has a maximum output of 2 W and a maximum sound pressure level of 97 dB measured at 10 cm.

Arrayed dual microphone and audio connections

The camera has a built-in arrayed dual microphone, making it possible to record audio together with video. Environmental noise filtering helps reduce unwanted background noise.

In addition, there is one line-in and one line-out for external audio equipment. The camera supports, among other formats, G.711, G.722.1, G.726, MP2L2, PCM, MP3, and AAC-LC.

Local storage of up to 512 GB

The built-in card slot supports microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC cards with a capacity of up to 512 GB. This makes it possible to store recordings locally directly in the camera.

NAS is also supported via NFS and SMB/CIFS, as well as Auto Network Replenishment (ANR).

Alarm connections and event management

The camera has one alarm input and one alarm output for integration with external devices.

When events are detected, the camera can, among other things, start recording, take snapshots, activate the alarm output, sound an audible warning, activate the strobe light, send an email, or notify the monitoring center.

Efficient video compression

The main stream supports H.265, H.265+, H.264, and H.264+, making it possible to compress video data efficiently and reduce storage and network bandwidth requirements.

The camera supports a main stream, substream, and, under certain settings, a third video stream.

Robust design with IP67 and IK10

The camera is made of metal and is rated both IP67 and IK10. This provides protection against dust and water, as well as high resistance to mechanical impact and vandalism.

The camera is also rated NEMA 4X. Hikvision also lists the model as "No Specific Protection" in its classification of application areas for corrosion protection.

The camera can be used at temperatures from -30 °C to 60 °C and humidity of up to 95% without condensation.

Compatibility and mounting

The camera supports ONVIF Profile S, G, and T, as well as ISAPI, SDK, and ISUP. It can be used with Hikvision’s iVMS-4200, Hik-Connect, and Hik-Central.

Network connection is via 10/100 Mbit RJ45. Power can be supplied using 12 V DC or PoE via IEEE 802.3at Class 4.
