DS-KD-MFB is an access module for Hikvision's modular door stations. The module lets you open the door with either a fingerprint or an access card, depending on how the system is set up.

Fingerprint and card reader module for Hikvision modular door stations

This module is used as an extension for Hikvision's modular door stations and lets you open the door with either a fingerprint or an access card.

It is mounted together with the main module in the door station and becomes part of the access system at the entrance. That way you can add biometric access or card access without replacing the entire door station.

The module is designed for both indoor and outdoor installations and is protected against rain and dust.

 

Fingerprint access

The module has a built-in fingerprint reader that can be used to grant access to registered users. When someone places their finger on the sensor, the system compares the fingerprint to the registered users and grants access if it recognizes a match.

The system can store up to 1000 fingerprints, making it suitable for smaller businesses, housing associations, and office buildings.

It gives you an access method where the user doesn't need a key or access card.

 

Card reader for access cards

In addition to fingerprints, the module can also read access cards. It supports both M1 and Desfire cards, which are commonly used in access control systems.
The reader operates at 13.56 MHz and can detect cards close to the reader. The system can store up to 6000 card users.
This gives you flexibility in the installation so some users can use cards while others use fingerprints.

 

Expansion module for modular door stations

DS-KD-MFB is part of Hikvision's modular door station series. That means you can combine the module with other modules in the same door station.
For example, you can pair it with a camera module, doorbell, keypad, or information modules depending on the installation.
This lets you build a door station that fits the entrance exactly.

 

Outdoor installation

The module has IP65 protection, which means it is protected against dust and rain. That makes it suitable for installation at entrances, gates, and other outdoor access points.
It can be used in temperatures from minus 30 to 60 degrees, making it suitable for Nordic installation environments.
