PTZ camera for monitoring large areas

DH-SD5A225GB-HNR is a PTZ surveillance camera designed for monitoring larger areas where you want both an overview and the ability to zoom in on details. PTZ means the camera can pan, tilt and zoom in on objects.

This makes the camera suitable for e.g. parking areas, industrial sites, ports, construction sites and other places where a fixed camera can't cover the whole area.

Optical zoom

The camera is equipped with a motorized lens with 25x optical zoom. When you use optical zoom, the camera changes the lens itself instead of just enlarging the image digitally. That means the image stays sharp even when you zoom in a long way.

This lets you monitor a large area while still being able to zoom in on details like people or vehicles at a distance.

PTZ control

PTZ stands for pan, tilt and zoom. That means the camera can rotate fully, tilt up and down and zoom in on objects. You can control the camera directly from your phone, computer or recorder.

The camera can also save preset positions so you can quickly switch between different areas. For example, you can save positions at a gate, a driveway and a parking area.

Auto tracking

Auto tracking means the camera can automatically follow a moving object. If a person or vehicle is detected, the camera can pan and zoom so the object stays in the frame.
This gives you better oversight of incidents because the camera follows the movement automatically instead of only recording a fixed area.

Starlight night image

Starlight is Dahua's technology for low-light surveillance. The camera has a very light-sensitive sensor that makes it possible to see colors and details in situations where many cameras would normally only show a dark image.

That means you can get a clear image in environments with limited lighting, for example parking lots or storage areas.

IR night light

The camera has built-in infrared light that enables vision in total darkness. The IR light is invisible to the human eye but allows the camera to record clear images at night.
The range is up to approx. 150 meters, making the camera suitable for monitoring larger areas.

Human and vehicle detection

The camera can distinguish between people, vehicles and other motion in the image. That means the system can focus on the most relevant events.
It reduces unnecessary alerts from e.g. animals, leaves or shadows and makes it easier to find relevant recordings.

Face detection

The camera can detect faces in the image and save snapshots when a face is registered. This feature is often used at entrances or areas where it's useful to clearly see people.

The system can also enhance the face image to make it easier to identify people in recordings.

SMD, smart motion detection

SMD stands for Smart Motion Detection and is a more intelligent form of motion detection. The feature analyzes movement in the image and tries to identify what is moving.
This makes it possible to filter out many false alarms and focus on people and vehicles.

Quick Pick

Quick Pick helps you quickly find people and vehicles in recordings. The system analyzes the video and highlights clips where relevant objects appear.
That means you can find specific incidents much faster without having to manually review long recordings.

Image stabilization and defog

The camera has features that improve the image in challenging situations. Image stabilization can reduce shake in the footage, while defog can enhance visibility in fog or haze.
This provides a more stable and clear image for outdoor installations.

SD card recording

The camera supports microSD cards up to 512 GB, so you can store recordings directly on the camera. This can be used as primary storage or as a backup if the connection to the recorder is temporarily interrupted.

Accessories

The camera is delivered with a wall mount for installation. There are also other mounting options like ceiling mounts, pole mounts and corner mounts.
