An advanced AI camera packed with analytics

This is an advanced DeepinView ColorVu camera for professional installations where very high image quality, minimal maintenance and powerful analytics for people, faces, vehicles, license plates and traffic situations are required. Perfect for tunnels, parking facilities, critical infrastructure, urban environments and other locations where reliability and documentation matter.

Image quality and ColorVu – clear colors around the clock

The camera has a large 1/1.8" sensor with 4MP resolution (2560 × 1440), combined with ColorVu technology. That means:

• Color images even at very low light levels
• Sharp details in both daylight and dusk
• Less noise and clearer contours

With a fast F1.0 lens (on the 2.8–12 mm model) the camera can use even small amounts of residual light, giving you usable color recordings where ordinary cameras have already switched to black-and-white.

Variable lens – two versions for different distances

The camera is available in two variants:

• 2.8–12 mm: wider field of view and flexible coverage closer in - horizontal view approx. 76–53 degrees
• 8–32 mm: narrower field of view for longer distances - horizontal view approx. 40–15 degrees

This lets you choose the version that suits the scene:

• 2.8–12 mm for e.g. squares, courtyards, facades and normal road sections
• 8–32 mm for long road stretches, tunnels, approach roads or narrow zones where you need to get close to license plates or people at a distance

Motorized focus and zoom make it easy to fine-tune the image directly from the recorder or software.

Self-cleaning front glass

One of the special features of this camera is the built-in water tank and automatic front-glass cleaning:

• Built-in 2-liter water tank
• The camera can automatically spray and clean the glass (typically once a week)
• Up to about two years of operation without refilling, depending on settings and environment

The advantages are:

• Less need for lifts and physical cleaning
• Cleaner glass and more stable images over time
• Well suited for tunnels, roads, coastal areas and dusty environments

Cleaning fluid is not included – a frost-resistant washer fluid that can handle down to approx. -40 °C is recommended.

Ring-shaped sunshield

The camera has a ring-shaped sunshield designed to:

• Block stray light entering outside the lens field of view
• Reduce glare from strong light sources
• Minimize dust and dirt settling directly in the field of view

The result is:

• Fewer optical artifacts and halo effects around light sources
• Better image quality in challenging lighting
• Less need for manual cleaning

Built-in heater, demist and operation in harsh weather

The camera has a built-in heater and demist function that:

• Prevents fog and condensation on the glass

It is designed for operation in temperatures from approx. -30 °C to +60 °C and is therefore ideal for outdoor use in Nordic climates, including exposed locations.

Deep Learning analytics – an all-in-one overview

The camera has a built-in Deep Learning processor that can analyze multiple target types simultaneously:

• License plates
• Special tunnel and road incidents

This means you can offload part of the analysis work from the recorder and filter events and generate metadata already in the camera. That gives more accurate alarms and faster search in recordings.

Face Capture – advanced face detection

The camera can:

• Detect and track faces in the image
• Capture and select the best snapshots
• Handle many people simultaneously (up to very high numbers in the image)
• Upload both face with background and closely cropped face images

Typical use:

• Extra documentation at entrances, gates and payment systems
• Ability to connect to a recorder or VMS with a face database, search and logging

To store faces in a structured way, perform searches and work with databases a compatible Hikvision recorder or software that supports Face Capture and face analytics is required. Without such, the camera can still send face snapshots and events, but without the advanced search and database features.

Multi-target detection – people, faces and vehicles

The camera can simultaneously:

• Detect body (people)
• Register faces
• Register vehicles

It can also extract a range of attributes (features), for example:

• Face attributes (e.g. glasses, face direction, etc.)
• Person characteristics (e.g. clothing color, top/bottom, etc.)
• Vehicle attributes (type, color, brand, etc., depending on scene and setup)

These metadata can be used in compatible systems for smarter searches – e.g. “man with red jacket” or “white van”.

Perimeter protection – intelligent lines and zones

The camera supports advanced perimeter protection:

• Line crossing
• Intrusion detection
• Region enter and region exit

Filtering by target type is possible:

• Only people
• Only vehicles
• Or both

This reduces false alarms from e.g. animals, trees, light flares and shadows and makes it far more practical – especially for outdoor fences, gates, areas around buildings and parking lots.

Vehicle and license plate recognition (LPR/ANPR)

The camera can itself:

• Capture and read license plates
• Handle both standard plates and more complex layouts
• Support blacklist/whitelist with up to approx. 10,000 plates
• Work with motorcycle plates in special scenarios (e.g. checkpoint mode)
• Detect vehicle attributes such as type, color, brand etc. (optimal in “City Street” setup)

Typical applications:

• Barrier systems and parking facilities
• Gate control with “auto-open” for certain license plates
• Logging vehicles entering/exiting areas

For full benefit (e.g. search, statistics, advanced logging) a compatible Hikvision NVR or VMS with LPR support is recommended.

The camera is also designed for advanced traffic and tunnel scenarios, where it can detect:

• Fallen objects on the roadway
• Pedestrians in tunnels or on roads where they shouldn’t be
• Illegal or dangerous parking
• Congestion and traffic jams
• Construction/work zones (construction detection)

Metadata and smart searches

All the advanced features – faces, people, vehicles, tunnel events, etc. – generate metadata.
With a compatible recorder or software you can:

• Filter by target type (person, vehicle, face, license plate, etc.)
• Create reports and event logs

The camera itself can also upload events to FTP/NAS or forward them to a control center, app or VMS system.
