På den måde behøver man kun at trække et enkelt kabel til hvert kamera - og skal ikke døje med 230V og små strømforsyninger.
Strømmen til kameraet leveres gennem netværkskablet fra enten...
- en optager med indbygget PoE, også kaldet NVR. Et typisk valg for installationer op til og med 8 kameraer.
- en PoE-switch. Populært fortalt en fordelerdåse til netværkskabler. Det typiske valg på store installationer eller hvis man ønsker fleksibel kabelføring.
- en PoE-injector. Kan kun levere strøm til et kamera.
Af samme grund følger der ikke strømforsyning med PoE-kameraer. Du kan bestille en klassisk strømforsyning her, hvis du ikke ønsker at benytte PoE.

The surveillance camera is from the AcuSense family from Hikvision. This means that it can give you notifications about people and vehicles and reduce false alarms from, for example, animals, shadows and moving trees. It is well suited for private homes where the camera can be mounted a little higher.

About the camera
The camera is part of Hikvision's mini-bullet series. These are small bullet cameras that are not as strong in the 'joint'. Therefore, they should be mounted where you can't reach them.
The camera is IP67-approved, which means it can withstand heavy weather and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
The camera is also easy to mount, as it can be placed on vertical, horizontal and inclined surfaces.
Human and vehicle detection (Acusense)
Even though the camera is intelligent, it still needs some input from you. Once the camera is mounted, you can choose between several types of "smart events" :
Intrusion detection: where a square is drawn in the image and when a target moves into the square and stays longer than you have allowed (1-10 seconds), your "reaction" is triggered.
Line crossing: as detectors if a "target" moves across the line you have drawn. This can be both ways or just one way. For example, it can be used for one-way roads, so that an alarm is given when driving in the opposite direction or in a driveway so that you only get a notification when people arrive, but not when they leave.
What is a reaction? The event that is triggered when a rule is violated is called a "reaction." Depending on which model is chosen, you have different options.
Most commonly used "reactions":
- Push notification on your mobile phone (get a picture sent directly to your phone of the goal that has broken the rule, with a link to direct playback in the APP)
- Send email (this feature should be used with caution as email providers may close your account for suspected spamming if too many images are sent)
- Flashing with white light
- Warning sound (siren or voice warning - there is also the option to record your own messages)*
To have all functions, choose the models where the model number ends in IU/SL.
Which Acusense cameras can do what?
The model name tells you what features the camera has if it ends in:
- DS-2CDXXX6G2H- I = Standard with infrared night vision
- DS-2CDXXX6G2H- IU = With infrared night vision and one microphone
- DS-2CDXXX6G2H- IU/SL = With infrared night vision, microphone, white strobe light and speaker
IP67 approved
The camera is IP67 rated. This means that it can withstand both wind and weather. The camera can be used both indoors and outdoors.
- Dustproof (6): Full protection against dust.
- Waterproof by immersion (7): Can withstand temporary immersion in water up to 1 meter deep for up to 30 minutes.
Supports micro SD card
The camera can take a micro SD card up to 512GB.

About the lens
The camera is available with several lenses and the lens has an impact on "FOV" (Field Of View) or in Danish: Viewing angle.
2.8 mm lens provides a horizontal FOV of 105.1°, vertical FOV 54.8° and diagonal (corner to corner) FOV 128.2°
4 mm lens provides a horizontal (horizontal) FOV of 90°, vertical (vertical) FOV 45.8° and diagonal (corner to corner) FOV 109.4°
Assembly
The camera is very easy to install and can be placed directly on the wall or in the ceiling/overhang. A back box/bracket may be required if the assembly cannot be located behind the wall, ceiling or overhang.
