4 MP AcuSense dome camera with DarkFighter and audio

DS-2CD2146G2H-ISU combines 4 MP video surveillance with Hikvision AcuSense and DarkFighter. The camera can classify people and vehicles and has both a built-in microphone and connections for external audio and alarm equipment.

AcuSense focuses on people and vehicles

Hikvision AcuSense uses Deep Learning to classify people and vehicles. This makes it possible to focus alerts on the target types that are usually most relevant in video surveillance.

For example, the feature can be used at entrances, driveways, and other areas where you primarily want to detect people or vehicles.

Line crossing and monitoring of specific areas

The camera supports line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and region exiting. These functions support alarms based on the classification of people and vehicles.

For example, you can set up a virtual line at a gate or driveway, or define a specific area where the camera should react to people and vehicles.

DarkFighter for very low light

DarkFighter is designed to deliver better images when only very little light is available. DS-2CD2146G2H-ISU is specified down to 0.001 lux in color at F1.0.

The bright F1.0 aperture helps the camera make use of the available light. When there is no longer enough light, the camera can switch to black and white and use the built-in IR illumination.

Built-in microphone

The ISU version has a built-in microphone, so audio can be recorded together with the video without the need for a separate microphone. At the same time, the camera supports filtering of ambient noise.

External audio and alarm equipment

In addition to the built-in microphone, the camera has one audio input and one audio output for compatible external audio equipment. It also has one alarm input and one alarm output for integration with external alarm equipment.

4 MP gives a detailed image

The camera has a maximum resolution of 2688 × 1520 pixels. This provides more image detail than traditional Full HD and makes it easier to see smaller details in recordings.

At 50 Hz, the camera can deliver up to 25 frames per second at full 4 MP resolution.

IR illumination for surveillance in the dark

DS-2CD2146G2H-ISU has built-in 850 nm IR illumination with a range of up to 30 meters. This makes it possible to continue surveillance in complete darkness, where the camera delivers a black-and-white image using IR.

The camera also supports Smart Supplement Light for controlling the supplementary IR illumination.

Choose between 2.8 mm and 4 mm lens

DS-2CD2146G2H-ISU is available with either a 2.8 mm or 4 mm fixed lens.

2.8 mm provides approximately a 100° horizontal field of view and is well suited for areas where you want a wide overview, such as entrances, terraces, and courtyards.

4 mm provides approximately an 81° horizontal field of view and concentrates the image more forward. This can be an advantage at driveways, gates, and passages.

Better image in difficult backlight

The camera handles areas with both strong light and dark sections, giving you a more balanced image in situations such as backlight. This can be relevant at entrances or other places where lighting conditions vary greatly within the same image.

The camera also supports BLC, HLC and 3D DNR for further image adjustment.

Face Capture

DS-2CD2146G2H-ISU supports Face Capture, so the camera can detect faces in the image and take pictures of them.

Face Capture should not be confused with facial recognition. The datasheet states Face Capture, but not identification of specific people against a face database.

How far can the camera see?

The DORI values provide a standardized indication of the expected level of detail at different distances from the camera.

With 2.8 mm, the values are approximately 63 meters for Detect, 25 meters for Observe, 12 meters for Recognize and 6 meters for Identify.

With 4 mm, the values are approximately 78 meters for Detect, 31 meters for Observe, 15 meters for Recognize and 7 meters for Identify.

DORI describes the level of detail in the image and should not be confused with the camera’s IR range.

Supports SD cards up to 512 GB

The camera supports SD cards up to 512 GB, so recordings can be stored directly in the camera. Network storage via NAS is also supported.

With compatible Hikvision memory cards, encryption of the memory card and monitoring of the card’s condition are also supported.

H.265+ reduces storage use

DS-2CD2146G2H-ISU supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264. H.265+ helps reduce the amount of video data and therefore the need for storage space and network bandwidth.

PoE makes installation simpler

The camera can be powered by either 12 V DC or PoE according to IEEE 802.3af. With PoE, power and network data can be carried through the same network cable.

This usually means that only one cable needs to be run to the camera when it is connected to a compatible PoE switch or PoE recorder.

IP67 and IK10

The camera cover and housing are made of aluminum alloy. IP67 protects against dust and water, while IK10 means the design is built to withstand physical impact.

The camera can be used at temperatures from -30 °C to +60 °C. The datasheet states that the model does not have special corrosion protection.

Power over Ethernet

Do like the professionals. POE means that only one cable is needed for the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a POE switch.

ANR

Avoid losing recordings with AutomaticNetwork R eplenishment.
If there are network problems, the camera stores the recordings on an SD- card - and then sends them to the recorder when the connection is stable again.
