4 MP dome camera with motorized zoom and AI analysis

DS-2CD3D46G2T-IZHSUY delivers images at up to 2688 × 1520 pixels and features a 1/1.8" sensor. The camera combines high light sensitivity with a motorized lens and analytics for, among other things, people and vehicles.

Motorized zoom

The camera is available with either a 2.8-12 mm or 8-32 mm motorized lens. This means zoom and focus can be adjusted without having to manually set the lens on the camera itself.

2.8-12 mm provides a horizontal field of view from approximately 115° to 42°. This makes it possible to get both a wide overview and a more focused image.

8-32 mm provides a horizontal field of view from approximately 42° to 15° and is designed for a narrower field of view, where the area farther away should take up more of the image.

DarkFighter for very low light

The camera uses DarkFighter and is specified down to 0.0014 lux in color at F1.4. This helps the camera deliver usable color images when the available light is very limited.

When there is no longer enough light, the camera can use the built-in IR illumination and continue monitoring in black and white.

IR up to 40 or 50 meters

The IR range depends on the lens. With the 2.8-12 mm lens, the range is up to 40 meters, while the version with the 8-32 mm lens has IR illumination up to 50 meters.

People and vehicle detection

The camera’s AI analysis can classify people and vehicles. This feature can be used together with line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and region exiting, so alarms can be triggered based on specific targets.

Face Capture and people counting

DS-2CD3D46G2T-IZHSUY supports both Face Capture and people counting. Face Capture can detect faces and capture images of them, while people counting can be used to record the number of people.

Face Capture is not the same as facial recognition. The datasheet does not state that the camera itself identifies specific people against a face database.

Built-in microphone and connection for external audio equipment

The camera has a built-in microphone for audio recording. In addition, it includes one line input and one line output, so external audio equipment can be connected.

The camera also has 2 alarm inputs and 2 alarm outputs for integration with external equipment.

Multiple types of event detection

In addition to people and vehicle analysis, the camera supports scene change detection, audio exception detection, defocus detection, unattended baggage detection and object removal detection.

HEOP for third-party applications

DS-2CD3D46G2T-IZHSUY supports Hikvision Embedded Open Platform (HEOP 2.0), which makes it possible to import compatible third-party applications.

The camera has 1.5 TOPS of computing power, 60 MB system memory, 400 MB Smart RAM and 2 GB eMMC for HEOP functions.

Supports SD cards up to 512 GB

The camera supports SD cards up to 512 GB for local storage of recordings. Network storage via NAS and Auto Network Replenishment (ANR) are also supported.

Better image quality in difficult lighting conditions

The camera handles areas with large differences between bright and dark parts in the same image. It also supports BLC, HLC, 3D DNR and Defog for further image adjustment.

NEMA 4X corrosion protection

DS-2CD3D46G2T-IZHSUY is the Y version with NEMA 4X. Hikvision classifies this version with moderate corrosion protection and mentions coastal areas about 2 km from the shoreline as well as areas affected by acid rain as typical application environments.

Hikvision recommends using Y-version cameras together with Y-version mounts when corrosion protection needs to be maintained in the installation.

IP67 and IK10

The camera is IP67 rated against water and dust and IK10 rated against mechanical impacts. The camera housing is made of metal and is specified for operation from -40 °C to +60 °C.

PoE, 12 V DC or 24 V AC

DS-2CD3D46G2T-IZHSUY can be powered by 12 V DC, 24 V AC or PoE according to IEEE 802.3af. With PoE, power and network connection can run through the same network cable.

Power over Ethernet

Do like the professionals. POE means that only one cable is needed for the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a POE switch.

ANR

Avoid losing recordings with AutomaticNetwork R eplenishment.
If there are network problems, the camera stores the recordings on an SD- card - and then sends them to the recorder when the connection is stable again.

Face Capture

Can register and save faces for later review and search, so you can get all the faces that have been registered over a selected period shown as a kind of crime album.
